Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff lists California home with putting greens for $7.5 million

Jared Goff is selling the property with a custom pool and spa and a chipping pad with multiple putting greens.

Matthew Stafford sold his Bloomfield Township in Michigan home late last summer, five months before leading the Rams to a Super Bowl championship.

Now, the quarterback he was traded for has put his California crib up for sale.

Lions quarterback Jared Goff has listed his Hidden Hills home for $7.5 million, the Los Angeles Times reported this week.

The house, which Goff purchased in 2018, sits on 1.4 acres and includes a 4,300-square foot main house and 1,075-square foot guest home with a private driveway, according to the listing on Zillow.com. Along with a custom pool and spa, the house features a barbecue center and newly built chipping pad with multiple putting greens.

The Lions traded Stafford to the Rams for Goff and three draft picks last January. The Rams went on to the win the Super Bowl, while the Lions went 3-13-1 in Goff’s first season in Detroit.

Goff, a northern California native, played his best football in the second half of last season, and the Lions rewarded him by holding firm at the quarterback position this spring.

Goff has three seasons left on his contract, including 2022, though he has no guaranteed money left on his deal. He said after last season he enjoyed living in Michigan, the first time he has lived outside of California as an adult.

“It’s very pretty,” he said at the time. “I live near a lake and being out there in nature and seeing some of that stuff has been really cool.”

Stafford twice listed his lakefront home including once eight months before requesting a trade from the Lions – before selling it for $6 million in August, according to Zillow.

He and his wife, Kelly, had been seeking $6.5 million for the house that included an indoor half basketball court made of flooring the Detroit Pistons played on at the Pontiac Silverdome, five fireplaces, a sauna, a wine cellar, a glass elevator with service to all three levels and the largest infinity pool in the state.
