TPC Sawgrass, famed island green coming to Golden Tee video game

Video gamers and golfers rejoice: TPC Sawgrass is one of three TPC courses added to the PGA Tour edition of the popular video game.

Ever wanted to play the Stadium Course and TPC Sawgrass and take your shot at the island green on the 17th hole?

Now you can, anytime you want. Well, virtually at least.

Golden Tee, which bills itself as “the world’s most popular barroom and arcade game,” has announced the addition of TPC Sawgrass to the lineup.

Two other TPC courses—Deere Run and Boston—are also coming the PGA Tour edition of the game.

In a blog posted on Jan. 1, Adam Kramer, Vice President of Amusements for parent company Incredible Technologies, wrote:

We are partnering with the PGA Tour in hopes of taking this game to a new stratosphere. This is a long-term partnership, and they are great partners.

And now we know more specifics of this partnership. Kramer also wrote that they intend to develop updates “for this game for the years to come.”

So grab a few $1 bills, stick them in that quarter-changing machine and get playing.

Here’s what golf is involved in ESPN 8: The Ocho’s return to TV this Sunday

Do you miss live golf? Well, here’s what golf will be involved in ESPN 8: The Ocho’s return to TV this Sunday.

It’s happening. It’s really happening.

The coronavirus outbreak has done a number on live sports and television programming schedules, but some good news has come to light in the wake of the global pandemic.

ESPN 8: The Ocho is returning to ESPN2 on Sunday, March 22.

If you’re not familiar with The Ocho, it’s a reference to a fake television network in the 2004 comedy Dodgeball, starring Vince Vaughan and Ben Stiller. In 2017, ESPN began adapting the concept every year on August 8 (8/8, get it?) for one day full of obscure sports and “good, clean family fun” that’ll leave you saying: “that’s rad.”

If you don’t have any interest in the Stupid Robot Fighting League, marble races, sign spinning or the Death Diving World Championship, here’s when to tune in for some golf.

  • 7:30 a.m. ET: Putt Putt Championships
  • 4:30 p.m. ET: 2019 Golden Tee World Championship

So make sure to clear your schedules for Sunday, March 22, or it’ll be “Ouch Town, population you, bro.”
