God of War Ragnarök: The Applecore water puzzle solution – The Search for Tyr

The Applecore water puzzle blocks your path during The Search for Tyr in God of War Ragnarök. We’ll tell you how to get through it.

Tyr is not the easiest figure to find in God of War Ragnarök, and during your search for him, you’ll have to head deep into the mines. Along the way, you’ll find a water-based puzzle that could leave you scratching your head, so we’ll help you out with the solution.

You’ll see a large gap with a claw underwater, along with a series of troughs and waterwheels above. All of these will help you get where you need to go.

God of War Ragnarök_The Applecore water puzzle 2

First up you need to throw your axe toward the water wheel on the left, where there’s a trough right above it. Hitting the mark will raise the claw, letting you get across to the other side and face an elevator. Turn your back on that elevator and freeze the trough that’s up and to the left, which will lower the elevator. Get on it and recall your axe to let it raise you up.

As you get a little further into Applecore you’ll find a similar puzzle, with Atreus on a switch while you sort the rest out.

Freeze the trough on your left in front of the waterwheel and command Atreus to pull the switch. It will send some ore deposits to your block of ice that will stay in place when you recall the ax. Now you can target a different trough without the first waterwheel resetting.

Then you have to freeze the trough on your right by the other waterwheel, bringing up the claw once more for you to get across. Now command Atreus to fire a sonic arrow at the stones, which will clear the ores you were using to hold the first waterwheel in place, which will move the platform and reunite you with Atreus.

God of War Ragnarok studio releases spoiler warning following leak

Sony Santa Monica asks God of War Ragnarok fans to ‘please be considerate’ about story details.

More God of War Ragnarok spoilers are flooding the internet, prompting Santa Monica Studio to release an official spoiler warning.

“As we approach launch, it is important for our studio to preserve the experience of God of War Ragnarok for players,” Santa Monica Studio said on Twitter. “We ask that you please be considerate of the many fans who do not want to accidentally see clips, gameplay, or narrative spoilers and avoid sharing them wider.”

“We are doing our best to limit the exposure of unsanctioned footage and screenshots, but the reality is that we cannot catch everything,” Santa Monica Studio continues.

You can read the complete statement below.

These leaks are seemingly separate from last week’s spoiler troubles. According to producer Cory Barlog, a retailer began selling God of War Ragnarok more than two weeks before its release date on Nov. 9, 2022.

It’s a shame, no doubt. Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens often with major game releases. So maybe mute all relevant keywords on social media if you would prefer to go into selling God of War Ragnarok without knowing what’ll happen in the story. Conversely, you can avoid the internet for two weeks – this could be a blessing in disguise.

November 2022 game releases: Upcoming titles being released this month

As always, November is always packed with huge and long-awaited game releases.

November is always packed with huge and long-awaited game releases, timed for the holiday season, and this year is no exception.

PlayStation owners are getting a new entry in one of the biggest exclusive triple-A franchises for Sony’s consoles, a long-awaited open-world Sonic game is coming to all platforms, and Nintendo fans will get their hands on the next generation of Pokémon.

Soccer manager wannabes will be treated to the latest installment in the long-running management simulation series, coming in several versions across all platforms, including mobile.

With that many titles coming up this month, let’s have a look at the 10 biggest and most interesting games releasing in November 2022.

Be careful – God of War Ragnarok spoilers are on social media

PSA: Various details regarding God of War Ragnarok’s story are making the rounds on Twitter and elsewhere.

Well, it looks like God of War Ragnarok leaks are already floating about all over social media — though we will not be talking about the details here. Consider this a friendly heads-up for anyone wanting to go into the game spoiler-free.

As first spotted by VGC, various snippets and screenshots from God of War Ragnarok appear to be floating around on Twitter. Again, we won’t be linking to any of it, but it’s unlikely that these are fakes. Santa Monica Studio producer Cory Barlog shared a picture suggesting that he’s aware of the leaks and that it’s genuine, at any rate.

It’s a pretty telling response, unfortunately. Remember that God of War Ragnarok doesn’t release until Nov. 9, 2022, so there is almost two weeks’ worth of spoiler-dodging for fans to do now. We’ve all been there at some point, especially since this tends to happen with every high-profile release recently.

GLHF‘s preview of God of War Ragnarok went up on Friday, with a full review coming closer to launch. It’ll be a cross-generation title, meaning the game will release on both PS4 and PS5. There might be a PC release later on, but Santa Monica Studios still isn’t sure if that’ll happen yet.

God of War Ragnarok gets an official story synopsis

Fresh information regarding the action-adventure epic’s narrative comes to light.

It’s wild that we still know surprisingly little about God of War Ragnarok‘s story despite all the hype, other than it involving Kratos and Atreus once again. Finally, though, we have some idea of what’s going on in Midgard.

Last week, the official PlayStation store page for God of War Ragnarok got an update loosely revealing what the story entails.

“From Santa Monica Studio comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018),” God of War Ragnarok‘s synopsis reads. “Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.”

[mm-video type=video id=01fqmjhj15avft2st527 playlist_id=none player_id=none image=https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/upload/video/thumbnail/mmplus/01fqmjhj15avft2st527/01fqmjhj15avft2st527-27aa1154ff4976d20adf76bbf98f9c16.jpg]

“Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.”

Yeah, that tracks with Kratos’ other bloody outings. None of this is particularly earth-shattering, but God of War Ragnarok hasn’t had an in-depth trailer since Sony’s PlayStation Showcase in 2021, so we’ll take it.

God of War Ragnarok is coming out on Nov. 9, 2022, for PS4 and PS5. Pre-orders are already live, so hop to it if you want a fancy collector’s edition.

God of War Ragnarök release and pre-order dates officially announced

Sony has officially revealed the release date for the highly anticipated God of War Ragnarök game.

Sony has officially revealed the release date for the highly anticipated God of War Ragnarök coming exclusively to PlayStation consoles.

The long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s The Game Awards’ Game of the Year God of War, will be available from Nov. 9, 2022. The developer, Sony Santa Monica, has given few updates over the years as to the development’s progression. This led fans to believe the game may be delayed. However, it appears it will be ready for its promised 2022 release.

Alongside the launch day announcement, Sony has also released a new CG trailer. The 30-second video shows Kratos in battle with son Atreus. However, the footage shown is only from cutscenes and not gameplay footage.

PlayStation’s official YouTube channel has also uploaded an unboxing video of the collector’s editions featuring the game’s art director Rafael Grasetti, and Thor’s voice actor, Ryan Hurst. There are two special packs called the collector’s and Jötnar edition, both of which contain a miniature replica of Thor’s hammer.

On the PlayStation blog Grace Orlady, senior community manager at Santa Monica Studio wrote:

“We’re thrilled to be able to share our release date and the brand-new God of War Ragnarök – Father and Son CG Trailer with all the God of War fans who have been eagerly awaiting news. We hope you’ve enjoyed a glimpse at some of the dangers Kratos and Atreus could find themselves up against as Ragnarök approaches.”

The differences between the various editions can be found on the PlayStation Blog so that fans can choose which set is right for them. However, it won’t be long before people will have to make their purchases. Pre-orders will go live on July 15 at 10 a.m. Eastern time, and with the anticipation there is surrounding the game they are likely to go fast, in particular the special editions.

In other God of War news, following the success of the God of War remake on PC, Sony is entering the PC gaming market and has released a line of monitors and headphones for PC gamers.

God of War Ragnarok is reportedly coming out in November

The sequel probably isn’t delayed until 2023.

Many were hoping for a God of War Ragnarok release date announcement during Summer Game Fest on Thursday. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, but it’s probably still coming this year.

Three sources close to the project told Bloomberg that God of War Ragnarok will launch sometime this November. The actual release date information is allegedly coming later this month too. When that happens is anybody’s guess, as Sony probably won’t make an appearance during the remaining not-E3 shows. I think it’s safe betting that the game isn’t at Xbox’s shindig or the Capcom Showcase.

God of War Ragnarok was originally coming out in 2021, but health complications with Kratos actor Christopher Judge forced a delay. Since then, Sony Santa Monica developers have repeatedly stated that the game is coming out this year. Fingers crossed it all pans out.

PlayStation fans have other first-party titles to tide them over this fall. The Last of Us Part 1 will release in September, even if not everybody is feeling that one. There’s also third-party stuff like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

God of War Ragnarok will release in 2022, says dev

Kratos will return, don’t worry.

A Sony Santa Monica developer gave some reassurance that God of War Ragnarok will launch this year.

On Wednesday, God of War Ragnarok animation director Bruno Velazquez replied to a fan asking if the game is still coming out in 2022. “Ragnarok is coming this year,” Velazquez said on Twitter, not mincing his words. This insistence aligns with what SIE and other Sony Santa Monica have been saying, though it never hurts to hear things (more than) twice!

God of War Ragnarok was initially coming out last year, but health complications from Kratos actor Christopher Judge pushed the sequel to 2022. So fans are understandably anxious about another delay, especially with grandiose teases from Sony Santa Monica.

We’re not even halfway through 2022, so there’s still plenty of time left to get God of War Ragnarok out the door. Patience is a virtue and all that. Plus, it’s not like there aren’t tons of great games on PS5 already. Seriously, go try one of the brilliant titles that already came out!

Many high-profile games received delays already this year, including Forspoken, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. There’ll likely be more to follow if history is any indication.
