The New York Giants (2-5) meet the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) for Monday Night Football in Week 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Giants vs. Steelers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Giants were trampled by the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, falling 28-3 as a 3-point underdog. New York has been outscored 45-10 in the past 2 games, going 0-2 against the spread (ATS) as the Under has cashed in both outings. In fact, the total has gone low at a 6-1 clip in 7 games this season.

The Steelers rolled up a 37-15 win on Sunday night in Week 7 against the New York Jets, cashing as a 2.5-point underdog as the Over (40) connected. It was QB Russell Wilson‘s first start of the season. Pittsburgh is averaging 34.5 points per game (PPG) in 2 games, while allowing 14.0 PPG in the span. The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 outings.

Giants at Steelers picks and predictions

Prediction

Steelers 26, Giants 13

Moneyline

The Steelers (-275) will cost you nearly 3 times your potential return, and that’s just a little too much risk for not enough reward.

Pittsburgh has been on a roll lately, and it gets a prime-time home game for the 2nd consecutive week, and 3rd time in 4 outings. It plays tough at home, but it’s still not nearly enough reward.

PASS.

Against the spread

The STEELERS -6 (-110) are a strong play in this Monday nighter, as Wilson looked solid, giving the Pittsburgh offense a downfield option that Fields didn’t previously bring. It diversified the offense, and opens up more of the run game for RB Najee Harris, too.

The Giants +6 (-110) have a vertical threat with rookie WR Malik Nabers, who has been a special player when healthy. The concern is that the Steelers allow 217.3 passing yards per game, ranking 22nd, which could allow New York to hang around. But QB Daniel Jones can be coaxed into miscues, and Pittsburgh has a tremendous rush. Mistakes will be the key to this cover.

Over/Under

OVER 36.5 (-110) is worth a look, but don’t get too carried away.

The total has gone high in 2 in a row, and 3 of 4 games for the Steelers. The offense is averaging 34.5 PPG in the 2-game span, while allowing 14.0 PPG.

For the G-Men, the offense has checked out, with just 10 total points in the past 2 games since a season-high 29 in Seattle in Week 5. The Under is 6-1, so be careful not to go too hard on the Over. Still, the Pittsburgh offense should do enough to get the job done.
