Both starters have been fantastic this season outside of Urias’ first start. Both teams’ bullpens have been great. The Giants have the third-lowest bullpen ERA in baseball at 2.59, while the Dodgers are right behind them at 2.77.

The Dodgers have not lost a series opener yet this season.

I give a slight edge to Rodon in this matchup, so I LEAN GIANTS (+115).

Run line/Against the spread

With 2 evenly matched teams, 2 great starters and 2 great bullpens, it is hard to think one team will pull away from the other.

The Dodgers have the best ATS record in the league at 14-7 ATS. The Giants are 12-10 ATS.

But as good as Rodon has been, I can’t expect the Dodgers to pull ahead and win by more than a run. And I actually lean toward a Giants win, but the line doesn’t make betting the Giants on the run line worth the money. PASS.
