Coastal Carolina suffered a 27-13 loss to UCLA as a 15.5-point underdog in its opener but has won each of its last 2 outings. The Chanticleers have come on strong the past 2 weeks, winning by a total of 96-23 and covering as favorites in both games. They picked up a 66-7 victory over Duquesne as 34.5-point favorites last time out on Saturday.
While Coastal Carolina has already played a challenging opponent in UCLA, this will be the first true test for Georgia State in the early season.

QB Grayson McCall is not having his prototypical season for the Chanticleers, but he has still been effective under new coach Todd Beck. Coastal Carolina (-275) will be able to control the pace and squeeze the life out of Georgia State, but this line is too steep to wager.
Against the spread
BET GEORGIA STATE +6.5 (-102), although if you wait until closer to kickoff you might get this at +7, which would be even better.
The Panthers have been dominating opponents this season. While Coastal Carolina is far better than its previous opponents, it should not be a nearly a full-touchdown underdog.
Both teams will look to run the ball heavily and this will limit the possessions, which makes a large spread less likely to cover.

BET UNDER 62.5 (-110).
Neither Coastal Carolina nor Georgia State have been giving up many points on defense this season. While both squads have solid offenses, their strengths are the run game and this will shorten the game much like a matchup of service academies.
