Jersey matchup set for Georgia vs Florida game

Should the Georgia Bulldogs always wear red and Florida always wear blue when the two teams play?

The Georgia Bulldogs will wear their iconic red jerseys and silver britches against the Florida Gators. Georgia will wear its usual red helmet.

Florida will wear white jerseys, blue pants, and orange helmets against Georgia.

Georgia will be the home team against Florida at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. As usual, the stadium will be split 50-50 down the middle with Georgia and Florida fans.

Georgia serving as the home team means the Bulldogs will wear red, but it also has SEC schedule implications. Georgia has four road SEC games this season, three SEC home games and the Georgia-Florida game, so it makes Georgia’s schedule a little bit more challenging.

Georgia last wore red jerseys against Florida in 2022. Last season, Georgia wore white jerseys, red helmets and silver britches while Florida wore blue jerseys, white pants and ugly orange helmets (orange is always ugly).

Georgia football equipment’s official Instagram announced the jerseys UGA will wear for the Florida game.

Georgia plays Florida at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. The Georgia-Florida game will be televised on ABC.

Georgia previews sweet new jerseys ahead of 2020 season

The Georgia Bulldogs have officially teased black jerseys and red pants ahead of the 2020 college football season.

The Georgia Bulldogs may be back in black this upcoming season. It’s a fantastic idea during this abnormal year. The University of Georgia hasn’t worn black jerseys in several seasons, but may be breaking them back out.

Additionally, Georgia is wearing red pants once again to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1980 National Championship. The video previews Zamir White wearing a white jersey with black numbers in addition to the red pants.

Georgia football previewed the new jerseys via their Twitter account:

Overall, both of the jerseys look pretty clean. The spike collar on the black jersey is an excellent new touch. It’s also a great idea to return the red pants, which are a classic look.

The updated jerseys are the perfect idea for this season, which won’t have as much fan engagement due to the limited stadium capacity. The uniforms could also help the school raise funding lost from ticket revenue.

What do you think of the new jerseys? The only question that remains is: what games will UGA wear the new jerseys in?

Here’s another look at the black jerseys:
