Where does PFF rank Garrett Wilson among the top 32 wide receivers?

Do you agree with PFF’s assessment and ranking of Garrett Wilson?

Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is one of the fast-rising stars in the NFL. Wilson has posted two 1,000-yard seasons in two years in the league, both with subpar quarterback play. Many are excited to see what Wilson can do with a healthy Aaron Rodgers in 2024. But where does Wilson currently rank among his peers?

Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus recently shared his top 32 wide receivers in the NFL. Where does Wilson fall? How about No. 14?

Last season was supposed to be the year Garrett Wilson became a truly dominant force, but his Hall of Fame quarterback going down after four snaps put pay to that. This could be that year. Wilson broke 22 tackles last season, second only to part-time-runningback Deebo Samuel in that category.

Wilson’s play with his mixed bag of quarterbacks has shown he can be a great wide receiver. A strong season in Year 3 will add fuel to the argument that Wilson is a top-10 wide receiver in the league. Still, being a top-16 wide receiver is nothing to sneeze at. The Jets had two top-10 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. Safe to say they hit the nail on the head with both through two years.

Browns TE David Njoku stars in new Adidas commercial with Patrick Mahomes and other NFL stars

The Chief is surrounded by elite company.

The Cleveland Browns bet on the development of their super-athlete at tight end, David Njoku, and have won big. Now, fresh from his breakout season and first Pro Bowl appearance, Njoku gets featured in an Adidas commercial with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson, and Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Njoku is starting to gain notoriety as one of the best tight ends in the NFL after racking up 882 yards and six touchdowns, leading all tight ends in yards after the catch in 2023. That contract extension looks like a bargain now, and don’t sleep on Njoku getting yet another new deal done next offseason if he continues in his dominant ways.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson raves about the atmosphere at Cleveland Browns Stadium

The star wide receiver has glowing things to say about the environment in Cleveland

The Cleveland Browns had a night to remember against the New York Jets a year ago, clinching a playoff spot during primetime Thursday Night Football in December. And Jets’ star wide receiver Garrett Wilson was blown away by what went down in Cleveland Browns Stadium that night.

Taking to TikTok, Wilson raved about the environment of primetime football in Northeast Ohio. In the video produced by Wilson, you can see the bright lights flashing around a packed stadium as the Browns would go on to seal their postseason fate.

Wilson called the atmosphere in Cleveland that Thursday night as “unmatched.”

Entering an offseason where Wilson is up for a massive payday, it will be interesting to see how he and the Jets proceed. With a playoff window of likely only a year or two given the age of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who knows what the future holds for the Jets financially?

The Browns have now made it three straight offseasons of trading for a wide receiver, why not make it four next year if Wilson loves Cleveland Browns Stadium so much?

Mike Williams felt Jets were great fit, dynamic with Garrett Wilson feels like Keenan Allen

Mike Williams felt Jets were great fit, dynamic with Garrett Wilson feels like Keenan Allen

Mike Williams is excited to be a New York Jet in 2024 and it’s more than just the sandwich he received from a superfan during his visit.

Williams, the former Chargers wide receiver whom the Jets signed to a one-year deal worth up to $15 million, said he felt the Jets were a great fit for him. Williams said he is excited to play with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

But it’s his talk about new running mate at wide receiver Garrett Wilson that may have Jets fans the most excited. Williams told the media Wednesday he feels the dynamic he has between himself and Wilson reminds him of the dynamic Williams had between himself and former teammate and now Chicago Bear Keenan Allen.

While both receivers have dealt with injuries in recent seasons, if you go back to 2021 when both played 16 games, both reached the 1,000-yard mark (Williams 1,164; Allen 1,138). The Jets’ Wilson has reached 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first two NFL seasons. A healthy Williams alongside him should give Wilson a good chance to make it three straight seasons with 1,000 yards.

Williams did say he is right on schedule in his recovery from his ACL injury last season and expects to be ready for Week 1.

If things go right, this will be one of the better wide receiver pairings across the league.

Every NFL team’s receiving leader from the 2023 regular season

Each team’s leader in receiving yards from 2023

Look, we know the Carolina Panthers had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year—particularly on offense. But fair is fair, and we already gave you passing and rushing leaders.

So, let’s finish it out and run through each team’s leader in receiving yards from the 2023 regular season.

Jets 2024 draft: Every player drafted No. 10 overall since 2002

Jets 2024 draft: Every player drafted No. 10 overall since 2002

The Jets will hold the No. 10 pick in the draft for the second time in three years. They had both the No. 3 and No. 10 picks in 2022, getting No. 10 from the Seattle Seahawks in the Jamal Adams trade. Those picks worked out pretty well so far for the Jets, landing them cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

The 10th pick has brought some good players to the league over the years, including arguably the best quarterback in the league today. As a refresher and an early way to start the draft process, here’s a gallery of every player drafted No. 10 overall since realignment in 2002.

Garrett Wilson to wear No. 5 in 2024, gets number passed on by Thomas Morstead

Thomas Morstead officially passed on the No. 5 to Garrett Wilson

Jersey No. 5 was officially passed on Monday as punter Thomas Morstead handed the number over to wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

It had already been known since April that Wilson would eventually change his jersey number from 17 to 5, the number he wore at Ohio State.

Morstead donned the number one last year in 2023 before passing the torch as it were to Wilson, who will continue to grow his own legacy with his old college number.

Wilson has started his career with two seasons reaching 1,000 yards receiving and came five catches short of hitting 100 this season. All this while playing with multiple quarterbacks in such a short time. One can only wonder how his numbers can improve with steady quarterback play.

The Jets’ tumultuous 2023 season has seemingly stolen Garrett Wilson’s joy

Garrett Wilson sounded so uninterested in hearing about his accomplishments.

The New York Jets had a disastrous season, and Garrett Wilson didn’t hold back when recently asked about his year.

There isn’t much that went right for the Jets. After Aaron Rodgers went down with a season-ending injury, the team played musical chairs with the remaining quarterbacks, holding out hope that Rodgers would return.

Ultimately, he never did and there went any sort of remaining positivity. New York ended the season with a 7-10 record, far from the Super Bowl prediction that Rodgers and many others had.

During exit interviews on Monday, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who finished the season with 95 receptions, over 1,000 yards and three touchdowns, was very blunt about how he felt.

Jets Week 17 offensive gameday roster vs. Browns

Jets Week 17 offensive gameday roster vs. Browns

The Jets have their gameday roster for Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. On offense, the Jets will have two quarterbacks available again with Zach Wilson and Aaron Rodgers inactive. Trevor Siemian gets the start with Brett Rypien backing him up.

Wide receiver Allen Lazard is also out with an illness so Randall Cobb will be active behind the usual suspects Garrett Wilson, Jason Brownlee and Xavier Gipson.

Zack Kuntz will be active for the first time after being signed to the 53-man roster this week. He’ll serve as the No. 3 tight end behind Tyler Conklin and Kenny Yeboah with Jeremy Ruckert out with a concussion.

Here’s a rundown of the full gameday roster on offensive for the Jets in Week 17.

5 Things to Watch: Browns look to clinch playoff berth in front of their home crowd vs. Jets

Here are the keys to beating the Jets on Thursday night.

Welcome to Week 17, as the Cleveland Browns have a chance to clinch their first playoff berth since 2020 when they take on the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. Quarterback Joe Flacco will look to stay hot against the top-tier defense of the Jets, while the Browns will look to put the clamps on the young and dynamic wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

Sitting at 10-5 with two weeks to go, the Browns even have a pathway to the AFC North crown with a bit of help from the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers. Without looking ahead of the Jets, however, the Browns must take care of business and clinch their spot in the playoffs on Thursday night, then hope for the rest to fall into place.

With just over 24 hours until kickoff, here are five things to watch for when the Browns take on the Jets in search of a playoff berth in front of their home crowd.
