After suffering a left costal cartilage fracture, Andrew Wiggins is reportedly expected to try to play in Game 6 against the Lakers on Friday.

Prior to the Golden State Warriors win-or-go-home Game 6 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, former All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins popped up on the injury report with a rib injury.

On Thursday, the Warriors listed Wiggins as questionable for Friday’s game six with a left costal cartilage fracture. On Friday before Game 6, Wiggins was a participant in the walkthrough potion of Golden State’s pregame shootaround, per Kendra Andrews of ESPN.

Alabama MBB falls in Game 2 of Phil Knight Invitational to UConn

Alabama fell against UConn on Friday night by a final score of 82-67.

Alabama’s men’s basketball team was undefeated leading into Friday night’s game against UConn in the Phil Knight Invitational. On Thanksgiving night, the Tide knocked off Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans. However, the five-game winning streak came to an end against the Huskies on Friday night after losing by a final score of 82-67.

The first half was dominated by the Huskies. At one point, Dan Hurley’s Huskies had a 15-point lead. The Tide had 15 turnovers prior to halftime which did not help. Somehow Nate Oats’ squad found themselves down just five at the half with several key plays on both ends of the floor.

In the second half, Alabama would tie the game. Jaden Bradley led the charge offensively. The Huskies got a lot of their point production in the second half from three players: Alex Karaban, Adama Sanogo, and Jordan Hawkins. The three combined to score 47 points in Friday night’s contest.

In the end, the Tide was unable to overcome the hot shooting from their opposition. Brandon Miller led the way in scoring (19) and rebounding (9). Bradley led the way in assists (4). With the loss, Alabama will play Sunday against North Carolina at 2:30 CT on ESPN.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the Alabama men’s basketball program as the season progresses.

It’s time to go all-in on Game 6 Klay prop bets

Bet the over.

You can play around with fate if you want, but I won’t. I’m betting the over on Klay Thompson’s points and 3-pointers for Game 6 of the NBA Finals because it’s his destiny to produce in this very game.

For whatever reason, Game 6’s have brought out the very best in Thompson over the years. And if you thought the luster might’ve worn off after his absence the last two years, he reminded everyone why they call him Game 6 Klay in the conference semis against the Grizzlies. He scored 30 points on 50% shooting, including 8-of-14 from three. It remains one of his best games this postseason.

In fact, Thompson has one 30-point game in each round of these playoffs…except the NBA Finals. So, with Game 6 against the Boston Celtics looming, he’s due. But in case you haven’t heard of Game 6 Klay, or you forgot how he got the name? Allow me to re-introduce you to the man, the myth, the Game 6 legend.

Jimmy Butler channeled his inner LeBron James for Game 6 against the Celtics and left everyone in awe

Jimmy Butler gave us shades of LeBron in Game 6.

LeBron James gave us one of the greatest elimination game performances we’ve ever seen a decade ago.

The Heat were down 3-2 to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals with their backs against the wall. It was year two of the Big 3 era with potential for a breakup on the horizon if they fail again. There’s also no Chris Bosh in the lineup.

But that’s no problem at all for James, who poured in 45 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists in a win to force a Game 7. The rest is history.

Jimmy Butler gave us one of those performances last night against the Celtics. He topped James’ 45 points with 47 (!!!) and nearly had a triple-double 9 rebounds and 8 assists. He would not let the Heat go home on Friday.

He gave them what was easily one of the best games of his career. It’s certainly on par with what James did all those years ago — he scored the most points ever in an elimination game in Miami Heat history.

NBA fans loved this. The classic LeBron vibes had everyone in awe. They were quick to point out how similar Butler’s performance was.
