Blue Jays prospect Gabriel Moreno rocked this ball so hard it got stuck in a wall and shocked everyone

There’s something in the air in baseball right now and it’s awesome

There’s something in the air with baseball right now. The game is giving us things we rarely — sometimes never — see. It’s fun. And weird. Very, very weird.

On one end, we’ve got first-swing home runs. On the other end, you’ve got another instance where a ball got stuck in the dirt and turned into a ground out. But this ball right here from Blue Jays prospect Gabriel Moreno? He gave us the best — and maybe the wackiest — of both worlds.

This dude hit the ball so hard it literally got stuck in the wall.

No one knew what to do with this thing. The umpire called it a homerun initially, but they eventually turned it into an automatic double despite it not actually going over the wall and out of play.

Here’s a quick look.

Y’all. It’s jammed in there. The silhouette on the wall somehow caught the ball.

That’s hilarious. It’s also insane, too. Everyone was confused about it — including the crew calling the game.

“Moreno hit that ball so hard, it’s stuck in the wall,” one announcer said. The other responded “yeah, that ball was crushed,” after he correctly guessed it’d be called a double.

He hammered that joint. Officially 111 miles per hour off of the bat. That’s wild. Fans didn’t really know how to react to this.
