Without a doubt in my mind, Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah should hear his name getting called this evening in the first round of the NFL draft. His collegiate production, the reigning Butkus Award winner, has NFL brass drooling over his potential.
Count ESPN analyst Tom VanHaaren in that camp also, as he believe’s that JOK will be the best defensive player to come out of this draft. VanHaaren noted that Owusu-Koramoah “can do everything an anything… I think he fits really well with what today’s defenses are looking for, and he has a shot to be a really good player in the NFL.”
The Irish linebacker gets a mention from another analysts, Andrea Adelson, but she didn’t go with JOK as her selection. Adelson did give the linebacker some high praise as he “can do so many things, plus he is as sure a tackler as you will find, and his ability to hit with such force and power allows him to make up for his shortcomings.”
We will find out which team makes the right choice and selects JOK tonight. There is going to be one NFL team that will sleep very well tonight after selecting the star linebacker.
