The 2020 college football season has been one of the most odd in recent memory. From conference postponing their fall seasons to players suing their conference over that decision. Notable players such Micah Parsons, Ja’Marr Chase and others deciding on opting out of the year to prepare for upcoming NFL Draft.
The Texas Longhorns are no strangers to players opting out of the season. Running back Daniel Young, defensive lineman Marqez Bimage and offensive lineman Willie Tyler have all decided to opt out. The Texas football team can add one more name to the list in freshman wide receiver DaJon Harrison. This is according to a report from Rivals’ reporter Anwar Richardson who tweeted out the news on Thursday afternoon.
Texas freshman receiver DaJon Harrison has opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, according to my sources. So far, running back Daniel Young, defensive lineman Marquez Bimage, offensive lineman Willie Tyler and Harrison have opted out.

Harrison was on the back end of the depth chart behind Jake Smith and Jordan Whittington in the slot role. Harrison was a three-star recruit according to 247Sports composite rankings. He came in as the 87th ranked wide out in the country and 70th ranked recruit in the state of Texas. Harrison enrolled at Texas during the summer out of Hutto, Texas.
