The Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football cost them the top spot in the AFC playoff standings, and knocked the team down in the power rankings of many NFL analysts heading into Week 12.
CBSSports.com columnist Pete Prisco put Kansas City in the fourth spot in his latest power rankings behind the Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Dallas Cowboys. The Chiefs were the only AFC team to appear in the top five, though the conference dominated the second tier in the sixth through tenth sports.

Kansas City wasn’t expected to rise in the rankings after their brutal defeat at the hands of Philadelphia this week, but the drop is still sure to sting for many fans who hoped a loss to the NFL’s top team wouldn’t cause a slide for the team in the eyes of the media.
The Chiefs will have their chance at redemption in Week 12 when they travel to Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Raiders.
