Wisconsin misses final schools for 2025 DL Brad Fitzgibbon

Wisconsin football missed the final three schools for class of 2025 defensive lineman Brad Fitzgibbon on Thursday.

The Chicago, Illinois native opted for a top three of Kansas, Iowa and Michigan State.

The Badgers offered Fitzgibbon back in January, though that was back when Greg Scruggs was the program’s defensive line coach. E.J. Whitlow now leads the position after Scruggs left for a job at Michigan.

Whatever the reason for the Badgers missing the cut, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound lineman could suit up for one of the program’s Big Ten rivals.

The three-star recruit is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 853 player in the class of 2025, No. 86 defensive lineman and No. 23 recruit from the state of Illinois. He has three official visits on the books, one to each of his finalists: May 31 to Michigan State, June 7 to Kansas and June 21 to Iowa.

Wisconsin’s class of 2025, meanwhile, currently ranks No. 16 in the nation with 13 commitments. The program began a busy month of June with commitments from three-star CB Rukeem Stroud and four-star OT Logan Powell.

The group should continue to grow as official visit weekends continue.

The three-star defensive lineman is 247Sports’ No. 698 player in the class of 2025, No. 72 defensive lineman and No. 93 recruit from the state of Florida. He is set for an official visit to Wisconsin the weekend of June 7, which comes on the heels of a visit to West Virginia on May 31.

Of note, Telemaque’s list of final four schools differs significantly from his group of six finalists from April, which included Colorado, Florida, LSU, West Virginia, Missouri and Minnesota. Wisconsin and Georgia Tech have jumped into the mix, while Colorado, LSU, Missouri and Minnesota are no longer being considered.

Tuesday’s announcement also includes a decision date: June 18. He figures to make his commitment after visits to each of his four finalists.

Wisconsin’s class of 2025 currently ranks No. 16 in the nation with 13 commitments. The program is off to a hot start to June with recent commitments from three-star CB Rukeem Stroud and four-star OT Logan Powell.

Luke Fickell and his staff are working to grow the class with official visit season underway.

Wisconsin makes the top 7 for a 2022 four-star DT, one of their top targets in the class

The Wisconsin football program made the top 7 for 2022 four-star DT K.J. Miles, New Jersey’s No. 3 overall recruit and one of their top

The Wisconsin football program has made numerous cut-down lists of late, signaling what could be the start of its class of 2022 coming together.

Yesterday the Badgers made the top seven for 2022 four-star defensive tackle K.J. Miles, New Jersey’s No. 3 overall recruit and one of Wisconsin’s top targets in the class.

Miles is 247Sports‘ No. 232 player in the class of 2022, No. 18 defensive tackle and No. 3 player from his home state of New Jersey.

Wisconsin and Penn State are the only Big Ten teams on the defensive tackle’s list, though the SEC’s Georgia and the Big 12’s Texas are big-name schools that are tough to contend with.

247Sports has a crystal ball prediction for Miles to choose Texas A&M. With the Aggies not included in his final schools, the race seems to be wide open to land the talented defensive tackle.
