Fatima Kline got her first UFC win and gave a warning to the strawweight division that it has a new fighter to watch.

But I think she must have not have seen enough film on me to know that when you take me down, I’m going to dominate you and I’m going to smash you. That’s exactly what happened. I’m. I’m super excited that that’s exactly the way the fight went and I was able to find a finish.”

“I’ve said it since my first fight and I’ll say it forever: I’m a shark, and when you take me down, you’re in my waters. It was funny that she grappled me. I didn’t expect it, but I put myself in bad situations all the time in training, to get myself used to it, get myself confident in those positions that I know I’ll work out of it. I have my coaches there the whole time, loud and clear, knowing exactly what to do at every second of each position that maybe wasn’t the best for me. But I knew I was going to find my way out of it, and with the guidance from my coaches, that’s exactly what happened.”

Kline on what she wants next

“I expect to be able to fight two more (in 2025). I’d like to fight somewhere in the summer and then somewhere in the end of the year again, get another two finishes in the strawweight division and hopefully a top-15 spot by the end of the year.”

UFC Fight Night 249 Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay: Santiago Ponzinibbio’s $16,000 leads

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program has now paid out more than $31 million to athletes since its deal began with Venum.

LAS VEGAS – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 249 event took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay totaling $173,500.

The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

UFC Fight Night 249 took place at the UFC Apex. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout tiers, which appropriate the money generated by Venum’s multi-year sponsorship with the UFC, fighters are paid based on their total number of UFC bouts, as well as Zuffa-era WEC fights (January 2007 and later) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts (April 2491 and later). Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance; 4-5 bouts get $4,500; 6-10 bouts get $6,000; 11-15 bouts earn $11,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000; and 21 bouts and more get $21,000. Additionally, champions earn $42,000 while title challengers get $32,000.

In addition to experience-based pay, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.

UFC Fight Night 249 video: Fatima Kline pulverizes Victoria Dudakova with hellacious elbows

Fatima Kline fought at her natural weight for the first time in the UFC and she showed what all the hype is about.

[autotag]Fatima Kline[/autotag] has her first UFC win, and she secured it in violent style.

At UFC Fight Night 249 on Saturday, Kline (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) smashed her way to a TKO victory over [autotag]Victoria Dudakova[/autotag] (8-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) with 33 seconds left in the second round. The strawweight bout took place on the prelims at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

 

Kline, 24, is a main training partner of UFC standout Erin Blanchfield. Tabbed as many to be a future champion, Kline’s promotional debut this past July ended in defeat when she took a fight on short notice up a weight class against Jasmine Jasudavicius.

Back at her natural weight class and with a full camp, Kline put on a dominant and aggressive display when she dragged Dudakova to the ground and eventually finished the fight with elbows.

The defeat was Dudakova’s second in a row after an undefeated start to her career.

Every UFC newcomer in 2024: Full list of over 100 debuting fighters

Check out the names and records of each fighter who made their UFC debut in 2024.

Every year, the UFC welcomes new faces to the promotion.

Some will become ranked fighters, future title challengers, and possibly champions. A couple of names have already made a significant impact in their debut year.

Kayla Harrison, who is ranked No. 2 by the promotion in the women’s bantamweight division, is likely next up for a title shot. Carlos Prates claimed No. 14 in the welterweight division after ripping through four opponents.

On the flip side, unfortunately, some of the names will fizzle out and look to continue their careers in other promotions.

In 2024, the new names and faces reached triple digits, totaling 103. Those fighters went 46-57. Debuting fighters who faced an opponent with at least one bout of UFC experience went 29-39.

UFC strawweights Victoria Dudakova, Fatima Kline to fight on first card of new year

Two rising 115-pounders will collide… and someone’s “1” has got to go.

Two rising strawweight fighters are set to collide on the first UFC card of 2025.

[autotag]Victoria Dudakova[/autotag] and [autotag]Fatima Kline[/autotag] will throw down in a three-round strawweight bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas as part of a UFC Fight Night event Jan. 11.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Dudakova (8-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) aims to bounce back from the first loss of her career. After wins over Istela Nunes and Jinh Yu Frey, Dudakova dropped a split decision to Sam Hughes. Dudakova has six finishes in eight pro wins.

Kline (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) entered the UFC in July as one of the most highly-touted female prospects in MMA. Her debut came on short notice up a weight class as she lost a unanimous decision to Jasmine Jasudavicius. Kline was a double champ for CFFC prior to her entry.

The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

UFC signs Fatima Kline for short-notice debut vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius in Denver

The main training partner of Erin Blanchfield, Fatima Kline was expected to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series.

[autotag]Fatima Kline[/autotag] won’t have to go through Dana White’s Contender Series after all.

Days after news surfaced that Kline (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) would partake in DWCS on Sept. 24, she’s aborted that mission to jump right into the big show. On less than two weeks notice, Kline will elevate a weight class to 125 pounds to fight [autotag]Jasmine Jasudavicius[/autotag] at UFC on ESPN 59, which takes place July 13 at Ball Arena in Denver.

Jasudavicius (10-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) was initially expected to fight Viviane Araujo, who has withdrawn for unknown reasons.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup including Kline’s manager Oren Hodak, of KO Reps, recently informed MMA Junkie of the matchup. The promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Kline, 23, enters the UFC as a dual titleholder for top regional promotion CFFC. Prior to earning the CFFC strawweight and flyweight straps, Kline competed four times under the Invicta FC banner. She is a main training partner of UFC women’s flyweight contender Erin Blanchfield.

Jasudavicius, 35, has won three of her most recent four outings. She most recently competed in January when she finished Priscila Cachoeira by third-round submission.

CFFC double champ Fatima Kline booked for Dana White’s Contender Series vs. Alexia Thainara

One of the most highly-touted prospects in the world has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series.

One of the most highly touted female prospects in mixed martial arts finally has the chance to prove herself directly to the UFC brass – and she faces a stiff test.

CFFC double champion [autotag]Fatima Kline[/autotag] (6-0) has signed to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series on Sept. 24 to face surging Brazilian prospect [autotag]Alexia Thainara[/autotag] (10-1) in a strawweight bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup including Kline’s manager Oren Hodak, of KO Reps, informed MMA Junkie of the matchup Tuesday.

Kline, 23, is a main training partner of Erin Blanchfield and holds the CFFC flyweight and strawweight titles. With a strong grappling background and sharpened striking tools, Kline has a 50 percent finish rate with two TKOs and one submission. Outside of her two CFFC title wins, her other four professional fights took place in Invicta FC.

Thainara, 26, is a stiff test, however. She has dominated the Brazilian regional scene en route to her opportunity. Six of her 10 victories have been by submission. In December, she won the SFT strawweight championship with a first-round submission of 15-fight veteran Thaiane Souza. Her only professional loss came against current UFC fighter Bruna Brasil in 2019.
