The Georgia Bulldogs got a tough break late in the third quarter. With Mac Jones and the Alabama Crimson Tide facing a third down in the red zone, University of Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes was called for a pass interference penalty in the end zone.
The play was extremely similar to a play Patrick Surtain did to George Pickens earlier in the quarter. Georgia Bulldogs fans were not happy about the penalty:
I’m confused how Surtain on Pickens was “good defense”, but Stokes was called for PI. Wow.

Bama's Surtain did the same thing to Georgia's Pickens on the other end of the field and didn't draw a flag. Stokes made even less contact… Let that sink in folks.

They just let the bama defender do the same exact thing to Pickens..no flag. Stokes gets a flag…go figure

I really get tired of watching this movie. The refs to the rescue. We have one quarter to beat Bama and the refs!

This was the DPI before the Alabama TD
Was it the right call?🤔
