The Eagles are waiving veteran defensive tackle Renell Wren according to Adam Caplan.

Wren was a member of the AFC Champion Bengals, serving primarily on the team’s practice squad before being acquired by Philadelphia as a free agent during the offseason.

A massive defensive tackle, Wren could return to the Eagles practice squad if he’s unclaimed.

Eagles to release Jaquiski Tartt

The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing veteran safety Jaquiski Tartt ahead of Tuesday’s roster cutdowns

The #Eagles have informed veteran safety Jaquiski Tartt that he is being released, per @caplannfl. Tartt signed with Philadelphia this offseason after seven years in San Francisco, but he'll now look to latch on elsewhere.

With the NFL’s roster cutdown date scheduled for Tuesday at 4:00 pm, the Eagles are releasing veteran safety Jaquiski Tartt, according to Ari Meirov of PFF.

A second-round draft pick (46th overall) by San Francisco in the 2015 NFL Draft, Tartt started 14 games for the 49ers in the 2021 season, logging 66 total tackles, five tackles for loss, one pass defended, and one quarterback hit.

Tartt was expected to compete with Marcus Epps for the starting safety position but missed time early during training camp and never entirely found his footing.
