Dylan Robinson commits to Washington over UCLA, Notre Dame

Dylan Robinson to Washington.

The UCLA Bruins football program lost out on another commit on Thursday. Four-star athlete Dylan Robinson, who had Washington, UCLA, and somebody in his final three, is heading to play for the Huskies, per Chad Simmons of On3.

Robinson revealed why he chose Washington over the others.

“I took two visits up there, and after visiting for the first time in January, it felt like home,” Robinson told On3. “It felt like home for me up there from the beginning. On my official visit, it felt like home again and the place I should be at.”

Robinson also admitted how it went at the other schools: “Each school was great, and I loved all three schools, but my feeling for Washington was a little bit different.”

It’s another recruiting loss for UCLA despite them being a finalist for multiple top players, although that’s certainly a change of pace from the days of Chip Kelly.

UCLA 4-star target sets commitment date

July 18 is the day.

The UCLA Bruins football program has given an offer to Class of 2025 4-star athlete Dylan Robinson. He has revealed his finalists with UCLA, Washington, and Notre Dame.

Now, Robinson has announced his commitment date for July 18 as he posted on his X page.

Robinson plays at Bonita High School in La Verne, California, so staying home would be an appealing option for him. Robinson is being recruited as a receiver, safety and a corner, but Greg Biggins of 247Sports mentions he profiles best as a safety.

He’s being recruited as a safety, corner and receiver but we think his upside is probably highest at safety. For his size, he has very good cover skills and ball awareness and will get downhill in a hurry to make a tackle. He has excellent ball skills and body control as well and is easily among the top prospects in the state.

July 18th is the day.

Another Notre Dame wide receiver target sets commitment date

It could be a great week for the Irish

Notre Dame football isn’t just waiting on Nevada’s Derek Meadows to make his decision.

The Irish are also one of three finalists 2025 California wide receiver [autotag]Dylan Robinson[/autotag]. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 190-pound prospect will make his decision a few days after Meadows on July 18th.

The three schools that Robinson will choose from are UCLA, Washington and the Irish. He’s ranked as the country’s No. 234 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Robinson took an official visit to South Bend in early July, and also visited his two other finalists around that same time frame. There is also potential that he could play safety or cornerback, as he’s an exceptional athlete.

If I had to guess, this a race between the Huskies and the Irish, so there is a 50/50 chance Robinson will pick Notre Dame.

California 2025 athlete has set his Notre Dame official visit

The Irish will have one of the last visit for the impressive athlete

One of the biggest differences now that there are two signing days is that prospects have sped up the process, and Notre Dame football has done a great job of managing the new recruiting calendar.

With 22 commits, they’ve put themselves into an advantageous position to pick and choose who will be the final players that will be added. One of them could be California athlete [autotag]Dylan Robinson[/autotag], who has set his official visit dates.

The 6-foot, 3-inch and 190-pound two-way star will head to South Bend the weekend of June 11th, his third of four trips. A decision will most likely come shortly after, but that has yet to be announced.

Robinson could end up as a wide receiver, safety, or cornerback, it really depends on the schools preference. Either way, he’s ranked highly, as the 247Sports Composite Rankings has him as the nations No. 280 overall prospect and 10th best athlete in the country.

Hopefully the visit to Notre Dame goes well and Robinson will be joining the Irish 2025 recruiting class.
