Duke at Clemson picks and predictions
Prediction
Clemson 73, Duke 69
Moneyline
PASS.
Simply put, I think the Tigers win, but the spread should pose a better value. Clemson has losses this season of 2 points, 3 points and 18 points which suggests it can typically either win or keep games close.
With that in mind, I would snag the point instead of playing them outright.
Against the spread
BET CLEMSON +1.5 (-110).
The big difference between these two teams is how they have played in the respective site and how they’ve played conference opponents.
Duke is 1-5 ATS in conference games while Clemson is 5-1 ATS against ACC opponents. Duke is also 1-2 straight up (SU) on the road and 0-3 ATS on the road. Clemson is 4-5 ATS at home and 9-0 SU.
The Tigers are still being underrated by the market here, and I would back CLEMSON +1.5 (-110).
Over/Under
LEAN OVER 140.5 (-105).
Clemson ranks 60th in the nation in field goal percentage (47.2%) and 18th in 3-point percentage. It has gone Over in 2 straight games and in 6 of its last 8. Clemson is 6-3 O/U at home. While Duke is 7-10 O/U this season, it is 4-2 O/U in its last 6 games.
With the Blue Devils being one of the best free-throw shooting teams in the NCAA and this is expected to be a close game that could have late-game fouling, back the OVER 140.5 (-115).
