WATCH: Popular rapper Drake may have just cursed the Georgia Bulldogs

Alabama fans have felt the wrath of the ‘Drake Curse,’ is it Georgia’s turn?

The “Drake Curse” is something that Alabama knows too well. He’s publicly worn clothes representing the program, and it ultimately led to a big loss.

For the Crimson Tide, it last happened in the 2018 season, where Alabama fell to Clemson in the national championship by a fair margin.

While it’s really nothing serious, and simply just something funny to keep up with, Georgia fans may now be sweating.

The Toronto-native never hides which team he is rooting for. He has been very vocal in support for the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, Alabama Crimson Tide football, Kentucky Basketball and others.

Apparently the video below was taken following a party hosted by Atlanta rapper, Future.

In the video, Drake mentioned he typically roots for the Wildcats and the Crimson Tide, but gave out a “Go Dawgs,” for the camera.

What does this mean for Kirby Smart and the top-ranked team in the nation? Well, probably nothing.

Lamar Jackson isn’t afraid of Drake or Madden curses

If you believe fans on social media, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is doomed by being liked by rapper Drake and being on the cover of “Madden 21”

If you take a look at Facebook and Twitter, you’ll see plenty of Baltimore Ravens fans denouncing quarterback Lamar Jackson being on the cover of “Madden 21.” Whether you believe in it or not, the so-called “Madden curse” is a phenomenon people have been getting worked up over for more than a decade.

The athletes on the cover of the video game franchise are supposedly cursed, seeing them have a down season that year. Whether that’s an injury, their team not going as far as expected, or any bad thing that could possibly happen; people chalk it up to the “Madden curse” every year.

While fans are concerned about it, Jackson isn’t bothered. On Complex’s “Load Management” podcast, Jackson noted last year’s cover athlete, Patrick Mahomes, led the Kansas City Chiefs to their first Super Bowl win in 50 years. “So, if that’s the curse, I want it,” Jackson said hastily in response.

But Jackson isn’t just fighting the curse of being on a video game cover. The Ravens’ quarterback is also fighting the so-called “Drake curse” after the rapper wished Jackson a happy birthday prior to their playoff game against the Tennessee Titans.

Much like the video game curse, people that believe in the “Drake curse” allege that any player or team the artist supports is doomed to lose. And just like the “Madden curse,” this one has been debunked recently with the Toronto Raptors, Drake’s favorite basketball team, winning an NBA title. Jackson called the curse “BS” on the “Load Management” podcast, saying Drake wore his jersey a few weeks before that as well and Baltimore won without trouble then.

Jackson put it all together when talking to Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks on “Take it There.” When asked about having both the “Madden curse” and the “Drake curse,” Jackson retorted back, “Two negatives make a positive.”

We’ll see if Jackson is indeed cursed this upcoming season. The Ravens are expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL in 2020 and Jackson is one of the favorites to win the MVP award again. Then again, maybe the lofty expectations put on the players and teams after a good season is really why people believe in a curse in the first place.

Ravens now have to deal with the ‘Drake Curse’ after rapper shoutout to Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens are the next victim on the “Drake Curse” list after the rapper shouted out QB Lamar Jackson on Instagram.

For superstitious fans, the “Madden Curse” isn’t the only one to be wary of. Rapper Drake has earned himself a curse as well and it’s now just smacked the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the 2019 NFL playoffs.

For those that believe, and there are quite a few, the teams Drake supports tend to suffer a string of bad luck and losses. Some of his former victims include the Toronto Raptors, tennis player Serena Williams and MMA fighter Conor McGregor.

For Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s birthday, Drake put up a photo on his Instagram of something monogrammed with the “Truss” motto Baltimore has carried with them this season.

For the superstitious, it’s time to panic now. For those that are a little more grounded, it’s just another rapper who enjoys what Jackson is doing on the field.

There’s some hope the curse has been killed though, with the Raptors winning the NBA finals. However, for plenty of fans (and even players), they aren’t taking their chances.

But if what quarterback Lamar Jackson said this week to reporters was true and he has been talking to Drake for a while, it seems as though the curse really has been lifted. The Ravens went on a 12-game winning streak to enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed and talking to Drake “for a while” hasn’t interrupted that.

Regardless, if Baltimore falls short of Super Bowl LIV, Drake probably isn’t going to receive the warmest welcome in town.
