Colts’ updated draft pick order entering Day 3

The Colts currently have eight picks on Day 3.

The final day of the 2023 NFL draft is already here, and the Indianapolis Colts are going to be among the busiest teams in the league.

Thanks to the pair of trades early in the second round, the Colts now have eight selections on Day 3. They are still without a sixth-round pick, but they have two selections in Round 4 and four selections in Round 5.

Through the first three rounds, the Colts have added a new franchise quarterback, a starting boundary cornerback and a shifty slot receiver who likely will earn a starting role quickly.

Here’s a look at the updated draft pick order for the Colts entering Day 3:

Colts’ updated draft pick order after Day 2 trades

An updated look at the Colts’ pick order after making a pair of early Day 2 trades.

Indianapolis Colts general manager started off Day 2 of the 2023 NFL draft by trading back not once, but twice.

The first deal saw the Colts move back three spots in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders to No. 38 overall, adding the No. 141 overall pick.

The second deal saw the Colts move back six spots in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons to No. 44 overall, adding the No. 110 overall pick.

Here’s an updated look at the Colts’ draft pick order, which is certainly subject to change:

Colts’ updated 2023 NFL draft pick order after Stephon Gilmore trade

The Colts now have nine picks in the 2023 NFL draft, six of which are on Day 3.

Just before the start of the new league year, the Indianapolis Colts traded cornerback Stephon Gilmore to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

That selection is a compensatory pick from the Cowboys, so it comes at the end of the round. The compensation is lacking, but it’s likely the Colts made the move to clear $9.9 million in salary-cap space as they head toward a likely rebuild.

With now nine picks at their disposal, six of which come on Day 3, here’s an updated look at the draft pick order for the Colts:

Here’s a look at the updated draft pick order for the Colts in 2023.

The league released the compensatory picks for the 2023 NFL draft and while the Indianapolis Colts did not receive any of those selections, we have an updated look at their pick order.

In total, the Colts currently have eight selections, four of which come in Rounds 5 and 7. They start with the No. 4 overall pick but could be looking to move up to the No. 1 overall spot if they feel strongly enough about a quarterback.
