Broncos’ order of 2024 NFL draft picks going into Week 10

The Broncos can’t acquire any more draft picks via trade until the offseason. They currently hold six picks, including 9th overall.

Coming off their bye week, the Denver Broncos hold six picks to use in the 2024 NFL draft. Because the NFL’s in-season trade deadline has passed, the Broncos won’t be able to add any more picks via trade until the offseason.

With Denver not expected to receive any compensatory picks this spring, the only way general manager George Paton could acquire more selections is via trade. The Broncos could consider moving players and trade down during the draft to stockpile additional selections.

Denver currently has selections in the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth rounds of next April’s draft.

Round 1: own pick (9th overall)
Round 3: own or via Saints (Sean Payton trade)
Round 4: own or via Dolphins (Bradley Chubb trade)
Round 5: own pick
Round 5: via Jets (Jacob Martin trade)
Round 6: via 49ers (Randy Gregory trade)

The team’s original second-round pick was sent to the New Orleans Saints earlier this year as part of the trade for coach Sean Payton. It’s unclear if the team’s third- and fourth-round picks are their original picks or selections that were acquired in previous trades.

The 2024 NFL draft will be held in Detroit from April 25-27.

NFL draft order: Broncos still in top 10 after bye week

If the season ended today, the Broncos would select ninth overall in the 2024 NFL draft.

Coming out of their bye week, the Denver Broncos (3-5) are still currently in position to secure a top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

If the 2023 season ended today, the Broncos would select ninth overall in April. There are three teams with only two wins this season and two teams with just one win, so Denver seems unlikely to land a top-five pick in 2024.

The Broncos have momentum coming out of the bye following back-to-back wins in Weeks 7-8, but Denver will have tough games coming up against the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings (both those games are in prime time).

Here’s a quick look at the current order for the top-10 picks in next year’s draft, courtesy of Tankathon.com.

1. Arizona Cardinals (1-8)
2. Chicago Bears (via Carolina Panthers, 1-7)
3. Chicago Bears (2-7)
4. New York Giants (2-7)
5. New England Patriots (2-7)
6. Los Angeles Rams (3-6)
7. Green Bay Packers (3-5)
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5)
9. Denver Broncos (3-5)
10. Tennessee Titans (3-5

Denver currently holds six picks to use next spring. The 2024 NFL draft will be held in Detroit from April 25-27.

Full 2024 NFL draft order, following Patriots’ loss to Commanders

The Patriots would have a top-five pick in the 2024 NFL draft if the season ended today. But where in the top-five would they choose from?

The New England Patriots dropped to 2-7 on the season after another disappointing loss. This time, they fell in defeat in their home building 20-17 to the Washington Commanders.

The season itself appears to be a bit of a lost cause at this point, as New England sits at the bottom of the AFC East. Now, the thinking—at least for fans—has shifted from trying to stay in the playoff hunt to getting the best draft pick available in 2024.

this may be the better thing to think about at the moment, as the 2024 draft class is loaded with talented quarterbacks and wide receivers. New England is struggling on offense in particular. A player like quarterback Caleb Williams, Drake Maye or even wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. could change the trajectory of the franchise.

Any one of those three could provide a spark for the organization for years to come.

However, as it stands right now, the Patriots did not move closer to the No. 1 overall pick with their loss on Sunday, but they remain in the top-five in terms of the NFL draft order.

If the season ended today, here’s where the Patriots would pick in the 2024 NFL draft, via Tankathon.

Broncos’ order of draft picks before NFL trade dadline

Before the NFL trade deadline, the Broncos hold 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 5th and 6th round picks to use in the 2024 NFL draft.

Ahead of the NFL trade deadline (2:00 p.m. MT today), the Denver Broncos currently hold six picks to use in the 2024 NFL draft.

The Broncos have said they’re not actively shopping players, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the team acquire more picks between now and Tuesday afternoon’s trade deadline. Denver currently has selections in the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth rounds of next April’s draft.

Round 1: own pick

Here’s where Patriots would pick in 2024 NFL draft, if season ended today

If the season ended today, here’s where the Patriots would pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

Losing to the Miami Dolphins has shifted the focus from the current season to 2024 and beyond for outsiders regarding the New England Patriots.

Granted, coach Bill Belichick and the team itself will do its best to win as many games as possible the rest of the way, but the hope of a turnaround and late playoff push was left in South Beach on Sunday.

The Patriots are currently one of the worst teams in the NFL with a 2-6 record, which puts them in line for one of the top picks of the 2024 NFL draft. That means they’ll have an opportunity to come away with an impactful rookie in the next draft class.

The thought of starting over and rebuilding for the future is a more comforting head space to be in than the weekly headaches of the team wallowing in misery right now.

Broncos’ updated order of draft picks after Randy Gregory trade

The Broncos now hold 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 5th and 6th round picks to use in the 2024 NFL draft after the Randy Gregory trade.

After trading outside linebacker Randy Gregory and a seventh-round draft pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a sixth-round pick, the team holds the same total number of picks for 2024, but they were able to move up one round late in the draft.

The Broncos have six picks to use in April, including selections in the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. Here’s a look at the team’s order of picks after the Gregory trade:

Round 1: own pick
Round 3: own or via Saints (Sean Payton trade)
