Atlanta Falcons sign former Tennessee Titans RB D’Onta Foreman

Foreman looked good in limited work for the Titans in 2020.

Former Tennessee Titans running back D’Onta Foreman has found a new home with the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced on Monday morning, rejoining his former offensive coordinator, Arthur Smith.

Foreman, a former third-round pick of the Houston Texans, tore his Achilles during his promising rookie campaign in 2017 and played in just one game in 2018 before not playing at all in 2019.

The Texas product resurfaced with the Titans in 2020 and looked like he was all the way back. Granted, he only carried the ball 22 times over six games thanks to Derrick Henry dominating touches, but he did look explosive and averaged 4.3 yards per carry. Foreman also added one receiving score.

Foreman will join a Falcons running backs room that also includes Mike Davis, Qadree Ollison, Cordarrelle Patterson and Javian Hawkins.

The Titans added a former Falcons running back earlier this offseason with the signing of Brian Hill, who we project will land one of the spots at the position on the initial 53-man roster.

Atlanta will host Tennessee in Week 1 of the preseason on Friday.
