Sunday was a wild ride for Bills fans as they finally saw their team’s offense stomp on an opponent in the Miami Dolphins en route to a 37-20 win.

That wasn’t even a blip on the radar for left tackle Dion Dawkins.

On Wednesday, Dawkins described his incredible weekend which included a trip from Buffalo, to South Beach, back to Western New York before returning to Hard Rock Stadium for the Week 11 game.

Dawkins’ daughter was born last weekend and he’s grateful things went smoothly. She picked quite the time to come into the world for her father.

The 23-year-old already flew with his teammates to Florida for the game last weekend when he learned that his girlfriend was set to give birth.

Dawkins told reporters it wasn’t a second thought, he had to get back to Buffalo for it.

“I had to search around for ways to get back here,” Dawkins said.

He explained that he got there “by the skin of his teeth.” After arriving in Buffalo at 1:30 a.m., his daughter arrived five minutes after he finally connected with his girlfriend.

“I wound up seeing baby Dalilah born. It was probably the best moment of my life. Actually, it was the best moment of my life. Believe me, it was worth every penny of it from flying back and forth,” Dawkins, who rented a private jet for the moment, explained.
