The Badgers offered Deylen Platt, a three-star cornerback from Venice, Florida on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound athlete still has one more season of football at Venice High School before he’d make the leap to the collegiate level as a member of the class of 2024.
Platt has now received seven Division 1 offers, including offers from Indiana, Ole Miss, Oregon State and Wisconsin from the Power Five conferences. Also amongst the schools who have offered him is Florida Atlantic University (FAU), the program that his brother Jayshon joined as a member of their class of 2022.
Additionally, Deylen Platt has experience on both sides of the ball, operating as a wide receiver on top of his work in the secondary. With Luke Fickell now at the helm at head coach, Wisconsin could become a more highly sought after landing spot for recruits moving forward.
