Broncos cornerback De’Vante Bausby has been working out with NFL draft prospect Isaiah Simmons at TopSpeed Strength and Conditioning in Lenexa, Kansas. The two defenders are being trained by Cassius Sendish, a former NFL and CFL defensive back who now works as a speed coach.

It’s not unusual for NFL players to work out with draft prospects — and even players from other NFL teams — during the season. Bausby working out with Simmons doesn’t imply that Denver is more likely to select the Clemson defender in April’s draft.
Simmons is an inside linebacker who can also play as a safety and as a cornerback. If the Broncos are interested in Simmons, the team would likely have to trade up to land the versatile defender. Denver is scheduled to select 15th overall in the first round.
The Broncos will have 10 selections in this year’s draft. With so many picks and limited roster spots available, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Denver make several trades during draft weekend (April 23-25).
