However, if you must, the LEAN is with ANGELS (+106), mostly because of the momentum after taking the first 2 games of this series and those plus odds. You’ve got 2 middling teams, but no clear favorite in this one. The Angels are 13-17 and the Tigers are 14-16 in their last 30 games.
Both starters have shown flashes, but both have been inconsistent throughout the season. You don’t know which arm is going to show up. I’m personally STAYING AWAY.
Run line/Against the spread

I don’t like either team’s run line for the same reasons listed above. This one is tough to handicap for so many factors. The Tigers are better on the road (18-23) than the Angels are at home (17-25), but Detroit is 6-12 against the AL West this season. There are just no trends to lean into with this game. AVOID.

I love the total in this game for several reasons. I already mentioned how these pitchers have struggled with consistency. Olson has allowed 4 or more runs in 3 of his last 5 starts, while Canning has allowed at least 3 runs in 3 of his last 4 starts. The Over has hit in 4 of Olson’s last 5 starts.
In their last 10 head-to-head meetings, they are 6-3-1 to the Over. I like runs to be scored in this game, and I’ll keep my bet to the total, especially with the even-money odds.
