The No. 2 safety in the 2021 recruiting class, Derrick Davis Jr., released his top seven schools on Sunday, including the University of Georgia.
First, I would like to thank all of the schools that have recruited me and have taken the time to reach out to me over the past 3 years. I am extremely blessed and humble to announce my top seven schools!!! pic.twitter.com/DmskaGtepC

Also on Davis’ list are USC, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, Penn State and Pittsburgh.
The Monroeville, PA native stands at 6-foot-1, weighing in at 194 lbs. His 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions lean 90% in favor of him staying local and attending Penn State.
The Dawgs offered Davis in January of 2020.
Senior safety Richard LeCounte will be returning this season for his senior year, anchoring the Dawgs’ secondary. The Bulldogs also have junior Chris Smith, senior Mark Webb and incoming freshman Major Burns at the safety position.
Burns was a highly sought after recruit this offseason that committed to the G. He is the No. 13 safety in the 2020 recruiting class and is expected to be LeCounte’s replacement following this season.
