The Baltimore Ravens have to get their roster down to 85 players by Tuesday, a tough task considering how much depth they currently have. They took two steps towards doing that on Saturday by waiving two players, but also signed one in the process.
Baltimore announced that they signed former New York Giants outside linebacker Trent Harris while also waiving wide receiver Devon Williams and defensive back Denzel Williams. The moves come just two days after the team’s 23-10 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 of the 2022 preseason, in which both Williams’ saw action.

Harris signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent following the 2018 draft. He spent the 2018 season in New England on their practice squad, but was cut at the end of 2019 training camp. He’s also spent time with the Miami Dolphins and most recently the New York Giants. In 19 total games across three seasons, Harris has totaled 34 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble.
Williams signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon as a wide receiver, and was put on the reserve/did not report list after training camp began. He was reinstated from the list a few days later, and caught one pass for eight yards against the Titans in Week 1 of the preseason.
Williams also signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent, coming from Villanova as a defensive back. He did not register any statistics in the team’s Week 1 against Tennessee.
