New ‘Gotham Knights’ trailer shows Robin and Batgirl will take on the Court of Owls

Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood will have their hands full in this new third-person brawler from WB Games Montréal.

A new story trailer for Gotham Knights dropped during DC Fandome on Saturday, and with it came a bunch of details on the game’s setting and lore.

Set in Gotham City in rapid decline after the death of Batman himself, Gotham Knights  is about his successors Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl, teaming up with Red Hood to take on the Court of Owls — a cult of rich folks who try to influence everything in town with nefarious intent. Huge jerks, basically. Seem like WB Games Montréal is making them the big bad of Gotham Knights, or they’ll play enough of a part the focus of the DC Fandome trailer for the game.

It sure looks bleak, or at least it does when compared to the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League story trailer that also came out of DC Fandome. Hopefully, we’ll see some more gameplay for Gotham Knights before it launches sometime in 2022.

Story trailer for ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’ shown at DC Fandome

Check out a story trailer for the new Suicide Squad game from the team behind Batman: Arkham Asylum!

Well, we finally got to see Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in motion at DC Fandome on Saturday, and boy, it looks unbelievably sick.

It turns out that the game is a humorous romp, quite a departure from developer Rocksteady Studios’ previous work on Batman: Arkham Asylum, but no less exciting. The silly tone is undoubtedly in line with the James Gunn film, despite being a separate entity from either big-screen adaptation of the squad. Any excuse to have more Harley Quinn is good in my book though!

Check out the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gameplay trailer for yourself below.

It looks like the “Kill the Justice League” part of the title is literal. Or at least, we see that the Justice League are indeed the bad guys in this game. Superman, Green Lantern, and The Flash are in the trailer, as are the Batmobile and Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth. So get ready to go toe-to-toe with your favorite heroes!

If you want more Suicide Squad right now, you could always prank call Amanda Waller for fun
