Fans appreciated David Beckham for giving them an incredible inside look at the Spice Girls reunion

Thank you, David Beckham, for getting this footage.

We might not have an official Spice Girls reunion happening, but we got an unofficial one on Saturday night as Victoria Beckham — formerly Posh Spice — celebrated her 50th birthday with a big bash. All four fellow Spice Girls were in attendance and sang along to some of their biggest hits.

Thankfully, David Beckham — soccer icon and husband to Victoria — was a real one and took incredible video to share with the world. Beckham wonderfully stayed in frame in a selfie-style video as Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Geri Haliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) joined Posh in a rendition of the group’s 1997 hit “Stop.”

The entire party was a star-studded affair, with Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Jason Statham were among those in attendance.

Fans absolutely loved the footage, and were grateful for Beckham’s video services.

Inter Miami owner Beckham says Neymar meeting ‘only for dinner’

Neymar recently said he’d love to play alongside Lionel Messi once again

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham posted a photo alongside Brazil superstar Neymar, but attempted to tamp down any speculation by saying that the meeting was “only for dinner.”

Given Miami’s recent track record of signing copious amounts of former Barcelona stars, Neymar would appear to fit the bill as an ideal addition for the Herons — roster rules notwithstanding.

Neymar added some fuel to the fire earlier this month when he told ESPN Argentina that he would love to once again play alongside Inter Miami star Lionel Messi.

“Hopefully we can play together again,” Neymar said. “Leo is a great person, everyone knows him in football and I think he is very happy and if he is happy, I am too.”

Neymar, 32, only signed with Saudi power Al Hilal last summer, and is currently recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in October.

The Brazil star has been spotted around Miami in recent days, throwing the opening pitch at a Miami Marlins game, watching tennis at the Miami Open and partying with a host of celebs.

Beckham also got some face time in with Neymar, posting a photo on Instagram with the forward and his wife Victoria. Knowing that the picture would likely lead to even more speculation, Beckham added the caption: “Welcome to Miami my friend (only for dinner).”

Sports world mourns death of English soccer legend Sir Bobby Charlton

English soccer legend Sir Bobby Charlton has died.

One of the true legends of English soccer has died.

Sir Bobby Charlton died at the age of 86 his family confirmed on Saturday, leaving behind a towering legacy in the sport.

He was a key member of the historic 1966 FIFA World Cup-winning England team where he also won the Ballon d’Or, and he scored 199 goals with Manchester United as one of its banner players from 1956-73.

He scored 49 goals for England while he played for the national team to join his incredible scoring tally with Manchester United.

Charlton is only one of nine players to ever win a World Cup, the European Cup in the now-Champions League and the Ballon d’Or. He was also a surviving member of the 1958 Munich air disaster that claimed the lives of a number of Charlton’s Manchester United teammates.

He inspired many future soccer players with his career on the pitch, including English soccer legend David Beckham. One of Beckham’s middle names is “Robert,” which honors Charlton’s accomplishments.

Beckham shared a tribute to Charlton’s life on Instagram after news of his death broke.

10 photos of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham over the years

A look at the legendary couple over the years.

It’s one of the all-time great love stories of the sports and pop culture world: David Beckham, the storied British soccer player who became an icon playing for both his country and for a bunch of different teams, and Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl.

They met at a Manchester United game in 1997 and Beckham asked for her number. It was nearly a year later that they announced their engagement and in 1999, they welcomed their first of four children, Brooklyn.

They are once again under the spotlight thanks to a new Netflix documentary, Beckham. As you watch, here’s a look back at the pair over the years:

Netflix to release four-part Beckham documentary in October

Prepare to see David Beckham like you’ve never seen him before.

Netflix has announced a four-part documentary series on the soccer icon — naturally titled “Beckham” — will be released on October 4.

The series will trace Beckham’s upbringing, a club career that included stops at Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, PSG and the LA Galaxy, along with his England career, relationship with his wife Victoria, and more.

Beckham now serves as the co-owner of Inter Miami, which recently pulled off one of the biggest coups in MLS history by signing Lionel Messi.

“The definitive multi-part series will go beyond the shine of stardom to explore Beckham’s humble working class beginnings in East London, and the drive and determination that led him to become one of the most recognizable and scrutinized athletes of all time,” Netflix said in a statement.

The series will feature interviews with Victoria Beckham, a host of legends from Real Madrid and Manchester United, including Eric Cantona and Sir Alex Ferguson, as well as Beckham’s parents.

“Beckham” will be led by Academy Award–winner Fisher Stevens (PalmerAnd We Go GreenThe Cove), who serves as director and executive producer, and will also be produced by Academy Award– and Emmy Award–winner John Battsek (One Day in SeptemberSearching for Sugar ManWinter on Fire).

All the celebs want to attend Inter Miami games now that Messi’s in town

Inter Miami games are officially a scene

Lionel Messi has already accomplished a fair amount in his extremely brief spell as an Inter Miami player.

In just two games Messi has tallied three goals and an assist, helping Inter Miami to back-to-back wins to start the Leagues Cup. His first goal was an instantly iconic moment in league history, a stunning last-second free kick to win his debut against Cruz Azul.

Off the field, Messi has already succeeded in turning DRV PNK Stadium into something of a scene. Several A-list celebrities have turned up for Messi’s first two games, giving MLS the buzz it was hoping for when it landed the Argentine legend.

Below is a running list of the biggest names that have been spotted at Inter Miami games since Messi arrived.

Beckham on Messi joining Inter Miami: ‘It’s a massive moment for us’

The Inter Miami co-owner offered his first public comments on the Argentine’s signing

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has offered his first public comments on the impending signing of Lionel Messi, saying that the Argentine superstar joining is a “massive moment” for the club.

Messi announced his intention to join Inter Miami last month, though the club has not officially confirmed the signing yet.

Beckham said that he was caught off guard when the former Barcelona and PSG star made the announcement, though the surprise was more in the timing than the message itself.

“A couple of weeks ago, I woke up to about a million messages on my phone. I was thinking, ‘What’s gone off? I don’t usually get this many messages’. All of a sudden, I hear Leo has come out and announced he’s coming to Miami. Obviously, it wasn’t a surprise to me,” Beckham said at a  “Lessons In Leadership” event for the Lira Winston Fellowships in London.

In terms of its impact on MLS, Messi’s signing has been compared to Beckham joining the LA Galaxy in 2007 — a deal that included an option to purchase a MLS team for just $25 million.

Having taken up that option with Inter Miami, Beckham is relishing the chance to make the club a flagship in MLS.

“I have always said, from the word go, that if I had the opportunity to bring the best players in the game to Miami, at whatever time of their careers, I would do that. I have always made that commitment to our fans,” Beckham added.

“So when I hear that one of the best players — if not the best player — who has won everything in the game, who is still a great player, still young and still doing what he’s doing, wants to play for my team, it’s a massive moment for us.”

Fox News guy wants Lionel Messi to learn English like David Beckham did

Being from England, learning English was surprisingly easy for Beckham

Lionel Messi signing in MLS is the kind of news that transcends sports. When an all-time great comes stateside, you’ll get outlets opining on the move that aren’t usually big into soccer, or sports in general.

Like, for example, Fox News.

And as you may expect, the network had just about the Fox Newsiest take on this story imaginable.

Analyzing the move, “Fox and Friends” host Brian Kilmeade implored the Argentine star to follow in the footsteps of Inter Miami owner David Beckham, who, in a show of great respect for his new country, took the time to learn English when he joined the LA Galaxy in 2007.

“The only thing I worry about, he [Messi] doesn’t speak English, and I want to see him sit down and talk,” Kilmeade said. “One thing about David Beckham, he learned to speak English for us, with an accent, when he came at 32 years old.”

Kilmeade, for his part, would later claim he was joking.
