Tennessee football announces uniform combination for the South Carolina game.

No. 19 Tennessee (3-1, 0-1 SEC) will host South Carolina (2-2, 1-1 SEC) on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee announced its uniform combination against South Carolina on Monday. The Vols will wear dark mode uniforms.

Tennessee’s dark mode uniforms consist of a black helmet, black jerseys and black pants.

“Looking forward to this weekend,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said. “Really good opponent that we’re playing. It’s an opportunity for us to open up conference play here at home. I’m excited to see our fans. We need a great environment on Saturday night.

“It’s special that we get an opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our 1998 national championship team. Coach (Phillip) Fulmer and the entire crew, we’re welcoming those guys back. Excited that they get a chance to be there for this one, as well.”

Kickoff between the Vols and Gamecocks is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be televised by SEC Network.

No. 3 Tennessee (8-0, 4-0 SEC) defeated No. 17 Kentucky (5-3, 2-3 SEC), 44-6, Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 9.

The Vols wore dark mode uniforms, consisting of black helmets, black jerseys and black pants, versus Kentucky. It was the first time Tennessee wore dark mode helmets.

Tennessee wore dark mode uniforms twice in 2021 against South Carolina and Georgia. The Vols did not wear a black helmet with its 2021 dark mode uniforms.

No. 1 Tennessee (43-6, 20-4 SEC) defeated Bellarmine (11-36, 8-16 ASUN), 11-5, Tuesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The victory is Tennessee’s 28th consecutive win against nonconference opponents at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The Vols recorded 14 hits and three home runs in the contest against Bellarmine. Drew Gilbert, Trey Lipscomb and Blake Burke hit home runs for Tennessee.

Kirby Connell pitched 1.1 innings, totaling one strikeout and earned the win for Tennessee. The win is Connell’s second of the season.

Tennessee had 21 players compete against Bellarmine.

The Vols debuted its dark mode uniforms for the first time at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee announces its uniform combination for the Georgia game.

Tennessee (5-4, 3-3 SEC) will host No. 1 Georgia (9-0, 7-0 SEC) Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 11.

Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. EST and CBS will televise the Southeastern Conference East division matchup.

On Thursday, Tennessee announced the Vols will wear its dark mode jerseys against Georgia.

Tennessee’s dark mode uniforms consist of a white helmet with black outline and black face masks, black jerseys and black pants.

The Vols debuted its dark mode uniforms against South Carolina on Oct. 9. Tennessee defeated the Gamecocks, 45-20.

Tennessee’s ‘dark mode’ uniform debuts against South Carolina.

Tennessee debuted its dark mode uniforms against South Carolina Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

The dark mode uniforms consist of a white helmet with black outline and black face masks, black jerseys and black pants.

It is the first alternate uniform to be worn under first-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel.

“I’m honored to be the head coach of Tennessee football,” Heupel said at SEC media days ahead of the season. “This is one of the great and iconic logos in all of college football, steeped in tradition. It’s a great honor to be the caretaker of Tennessee football at this time and really proud of what our players and our staff have done in six months. Just couldn’t be prouder and really excited about getting back onto the football field.

As we talk today a little bit, just had a lot of fun getting to know the former players at Tennessee, connect with the community, and this great iconic logo, be able to put a new age approach on it, while celebrating the great traditions that are Tennessee football. The first priority when I and our staff got to Tennessee was about relationships, and it still is today. That will be the foundation of everything that we do inside of our program, but that came through a conversation with our players.”

Tennessee introduces new ‘dark mode’ football uniforms ahead of playing South Carolina.

Tennessee (3-2, 1-1 SEC) will host South Carolina (3-2, 0-2 SEC) Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

Kickoff is slated for noon EDT and ESPN2 will televise the Southeastern Conference divisional matchup.

The Vols enter Week 6 following a 62-24 victory at Missouri. South Carolina defeated Troy, 23-14, last week.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, Tennessee introduced its new dark mode uniforms.

The dark mode uniforms consist of a white helmet with black outline and black face masks, black jerseys and black pants.
