Just one day after the Tennessee Titans released former Georgia outside linebacker D’Andre Walker, the Seattle Seahawks have claimed him off the waivers.
Walker was the Titans’ fifth round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, but was placed on the injured reserve list last summer and sat out his entire rookie season after suffering a torn ACL in training camp.
The Titans made this unexpected decision in order to make room for their newest addition of defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney agreed to terms on a one year deal worth $15 million.
The Seahawks released a fan favorite in Shaquem Griffin to open up a spot for Walker.
Other waiver claims:
Dallas claimed WR Malik Turner.
Colts claimed TE Noah Togiai
Rams claimed LB Justin Hollins
