Damon Kaylor is heading home. The former Michigan State football lineman announced on Monday that he will be transferring to Ball State. Kaylor is a 6’6″, 315-pound lineman who was a 3-star recruit in the 2019 recruiting class.

Kaylor is just the next in a long exodus of former Mark Dantonio recruits to leave the program after Mel Tucker took the reins. Kaylor is from Huntington North High School, not too far from Muncie, Indiana, home of Ball State.

Redshirt Sophomore Damon Kaylor became one of five Spartans to enter their name into the transfer portal today. The offensive lineman is also the 24 Spartan to enter the transfer portal since August of 2020.

Kaylor, was a three star recruit in the class of 2019 and was the No. 3 offensive tackle in the state of Indiana. He redshirted in 2019 and did not see the field in 2020.

This has easily been the craziest day for Michigan State in the transfer portal since August as the previous high for was four names entering the transfer portal on December 18. Expect the Spartans to look for more targets in the transfer portal as the 2021 season nears.
