Georgia football offers 4-star DB Dakoda Fields

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star defensive back recruit Dakoda Fields

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to talented class of 2024 defensive back recruit Dakoda Fields. Georgia already has 10 commitments in the class of 2024 and tops the rankings for the class.

Fields plays high school football for Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California. Gardena is located south of Los Angeles.

Fields, who is a four-star recruit, is the No. 111 recruit in the junior class. He primarily plays cornerback and is the No. 8 player at his position and the No. 14 recruit in California.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound cornerback has recent scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ohio State, Miami and Alabama. Fields recently visited a pair of Pac-12 schools.

The four-star defensive back also runs track for his high school. Fields has excellent length and does a good job of playing the ball in his highlights. The junior cornerback is willing to play special teams. He is not afraid to make tackles and will improve his tackling as he adds to his frame. Fields prevents receivers from getting much separation.

The Junipero Serra standout announced his scholarship offer from the University of Georgia via Twitter:

Alabama coaching staff offers 2024 DB Dakoda Fields

Could the California CB consider moving east to play for the Crimson Tide?

The Alabama coaching staff has made it a priority to target recruits from coast to coast over the years. They have done a fair job at landing several of them as well. Recently, the Tide offered 2024 defensive back Dakoda Fields out of Gardena, California.

Fields has a great frame at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. In years past, Alabama has lacked some size at the cornerback position and Fields could add some versatility and size to the Tide’s secondary.

It will not be easy for the Alabama coaching staff to pry him away from schools on the West coast. Programs like USC, UCLA, and Oregon have all offered him. At this time, the Trojans appear to be the favorite to land Fields. According to On3’s RPM, the Trojans have the best chance to land his commitment at 54.1% likelihood.
