Four-star Florida cornerback Gregory Xavier Thomas announces Colorado offer

Colorado offered a four-star cornerback from Florida

Since his hiring, Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders has heavily recruited the state of Florida. Notable Sunshine State prospects who’ve signed with the Buffs include Cormani McClain, Asaad Waseem, Isaiah Hardge and five-star incoming freshman Jordan Seaton.

Now, Sanders and CU cornerbacks coach Kevin Mathis are going after class of 2025 Florida CB Gregory Xavier Thomas, a four-star recruit who announced an offer from the Buffs on Wednesday. Thomas is ranked as the No. 25 CB in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Other offers that Thomas has reported in recent days include Michigan State, Louisville, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech.

Here’s what 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins wrote on Thomas:

A physically imposing defensive back prospect with a monster ceiling given how he moves for someone his size. Measured just over 6-foot-1, 190 pounds as a freshman and looks to be even bigger now. Earned a starting role as a junior at the Power Five factory that is American Heritage and found instant success, getting snaps at both cornerback and safety.

Two other American Heritage prospects also announced offers from Colorado on Wednesday: 2026 wide receiver Jamar Denson and 2026 quarterback Dia Bell.

Four-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers earns offer from CU Buffs

Four-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers picked up an offer from Colorado

Colorado’s success over the next two years will largely be dependent on how well its offensive line performs. The Buffs are set up well with five-star tackle Jordan Seaton now in Boulder, but more reinforcements are needed.

On Friday, we learned that new CU offensive line coach Phil Loadholt extended an offer to Lamont Rogers, a class of 2025 four-star tackle from Mesquite, Texas. According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-6, 305-pound Rogers is the seventh-ranked offensive tackle in his class.

While things have possibly changed for Rogers, he announced a top-12 of Michigan, Flordia, USC, Texas, LSU, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Oklahoma, TCU, Mississippi State, Florida State and Texas A&M back in September.

247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks wrote the following on Rogers:

Plays to his size in the running game. Shows above average get-off juice. Good drive blocker once locked on. Occasionally flashes some encouraging punch.

Colorado joins the hunt for four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley

After helping his high school team to a state championship this past season, four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley picked up an offer from Colorado

As we documented last week, Colorado has been rapidly sending out offers to 2025 prospects this month.

On Tuesday, four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley became the latest to announce an offer from the Buffs. A current junior at Milton High School in Georgia, Wiley is ranked as the No. 36 WR in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Wiley, the son of former NFL defensive end Chuck Wiley, has also recently announced offers from Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

His rising stock makes sense when you examine the jaw-dropping numbers Wiley put up this past fall. In 15 games played, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver caught 68 passes for 1,473 yards and 14 touchdowns, helping Milton secure the Georgia 7A state title.

Following a string of decommitments late last year, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders and his staff are without any class of 2025 pledges.

Colorado extending offers to top-ranked 2025 recruits at a rapid pace

These top-ranked 2025 prospects have all announced an offer from Colorado in recent days

Now that the class of 2024’s early signing period is complete, Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders and his staff have been putting their energy toward recruiting 2025 prospects. Several current high school juniors have been offered by the Buffs recently, including a few four/five-star prospects.

After watching wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr., running back Jamarice Wilder and quarterback Antwann Hill all decommit in November, Colorado is currently without any 2025 pledges. However, based on the plethora of offers CU has extended this month. I’d expect Coach Prime to land a commitment soon.

Here are some of the 2025 prospects who’ve announced an offer from Colorado in recent days:

Five-star USC QB commit Julian Lewis sets visit with Colorado

Five-star quarterback and USC commit Julian Lewis is taking a visit to Colorado

Colorado’s search for its class of 2025 quarterback has been picking up steam.

Less than one week after four-star gunslinger TJ Lateef put the Buffs in his top seven, 247Sports reported Thursday that five-star Georgia QB Julian Lewis plans on visiting Colorado next weekend (Jan. 27-28).

Lewis, who committed to USC in August, also plans on visiting Auburn this upcoming weekend and Georgia in early February, the report stated. While Lewis remains a Lincoln Riley pledge, he should be on flip watch moving forward.

After reclassifying from the 2026 class earlier this week, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Lewis is now the second-ranked 2025 QB, per the 247Sports Composite.

Lewis’ first two seasons at Carrollton High School were nothing short of impressive. He was named the MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year in 2022 and was a finalist for the Gatorade National Player of the Year this past season.

Colorado got in early on Lewis, extending an offer in January 2023, so that should bode well for head coach Deion Sanders and his staff.

Five-star offensive tackle from Texas receives Colorado offer

Five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi is on the Buffs’ radar

With Colorado soon returning to the Texas-heavy Big 12 Conference, head coach Deion Sanders and his staff are recruiting one of the Lone Star State’s top offensive linemen.

Ranked as the No. 1 class of 2025 offensive tackle in Texas (247Sports Composite), Michael Fasusi announced an offer from the Buffs on Tuesday. Fasusi, a five-star prospect from Lewisville, is the second-ranked OT nationally and the No. 16 overall 2025 recruit.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound high school junior has been offered by approximately 40 total programs, including several other Big 12 schools.

Colorado recently signed No. 1 class of 2024 offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, but a commitment from Fasusi would give the Buffaloes an even more impressive O-line come 2025.

As of Wednesday, Coach Prime and his staff are without any class of 2025 commitments. However, with help from new assistant director of player personnel Devin Rispress, Colorado has been diligently recruiting 2025 prospects as of late.

Colorado offers four-star QB Madden Iamaleava, brother of Tennessee’s Nico

Colorado extended an offer to Madden Iamaleava, the younger brother of rising Tennessee star quarterback Nico Iamaleava

Earlier this week, the Colorado Buffaloes offered class of 2025 four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava. His surname should sound familiar, as Madden is the younger brother of Tennessee freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who started for the Vols in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The younger Iamaleava announced the offer via his X account on Monday. This comes soon after 2025 four-star QB TJ Lateef put CU in his top seven schools.

Iamaleava plays at Warren High School in Downey, California, and has received offers from a large number of schools, including Auburn, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Oregon State, TCU, Tennessee and Washington, among plenty of others.

Iamaleava was recently at an all-star passing tournament hosted by the Los Angeles Rams and made a bigger name for himself with some impressive throws.

If Colorado head coach Deion Sanders can land a player of Madden’s caliber, it would be a huge grab for the future of the Buffs program.

Four-star QB TJ Lateef puts Colorado in top seven

Four-star QB TJ Lateef remains high on Colorado

Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders and his staff have been actively recruiting class of 2025 prospects this offseason. Despite missing out on top-ranked quarterback Bryce Underwood, who committed to LSU, the Buffs are trending well with several other current high school juniors.

On Saturday, 2025 four-star QB TJ Lateef dropped his top seven schools, and Colorado was included, per On3.

Here’s a look at the final seven for Lateef:

Lateef plays at Orange Lutheran High School in California and owns several other big-time offers, including Oregon State, Penn State, UCLA and Miami (FL).

According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Lateef is ranked No. 19 among 2025 quarterbacks.

Here’s a look at some of his highlights from a recent camp:

After watching a few recruits decommit, Colorado is currently without any 2025 pledges, so landing Lateef would be huge.

Colorado offers intriguing class of 2025 tight end Corbin Laisure

Intriguing Tennessee tight end Corbin Laisure announced an offer from Colorado

After a 4-8 season, Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders and his staff continue to hit the recruiting trails hard.

On Wednesday, class of 2025 tight end Corbin Laisure announced via his X account that he received an offer from the Buffs.

Laisure is listed as a 6-foot-5, 218-pound tight end on 247Sports. He’s currently a junior at Sullivan East High School in Bluff City, Tennessee.

Laisure is an intriguing prospect who finished with 64 catches, 774 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns this past season. Additionally, he racked up 116 tackles and 11.5 TFLs as a defensive end.

In his announcement, Laisure posted that he spoke with Colorado quality control analyst Gunnar White.

Laisure also made some highlights at a recent showcase, so he’s certainly a prospect to watch in the class of 2025.

Colorado extends offer to four-star TE Desaahn Brame

Four-star TE DeSaahn Brame, who recently trained with fellow Derby, Kansas native Dylan Edwards, received an offer from Colorado

Colorado is pushing to land class of 2025 tight end Desaahn Brame, a four-star prospect who announced an offer from the Buffs on Monday.

Brame recently wrapped his junior season at Derby High School, the same Kansas football powerhouse that produced current Buffs running back Dylan Edwards. The two Derby natives even trained together in December, per Brame’s X account.

While Brame already named his top eight schools last month (Oregon, Florida, Tennessee, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Alabama, Oklahoma and Michigan), I wouldn’t count Colorado out because of his connection with Edwards.

The numbers that Brame put up this past season for an 11-2 Derby team were impressive. According to his MaxPreps page, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound TE caught 46 passes for 942 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Brame is the fifth-ranked TE in his class and the No. 142 overall prospect (247Sports Composite).
