Colorado offers pair of elite 2025 QBs

Two of the nation’s top 2025 QBs reported offers from Colorado on Friday

California recruits TJ Lateef and Bear Bachmeier, two of the nation’s top 2025 quarterbacks, reported offers from Colorado on Friday. Lateef is the No. 10 QB prospect for 2025 while Bachmeier is ranked just behind at No. 11, per the 247Sports Composite.

At Orange Lutheran High School last fall, Lateef threw for 2,446 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a sophomore. The Buffaloes previously offered the 6-foot-2, 185-pound QB in January of 2022, so this is technically a re-offer.

Bachmeier had a slightly stronger sophomore season at Murrieta Valley High School, throwing for 2,853 yards, 26 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Both of the four-star QBs tagged Colorado offensive coordinator Sean Lewis in their tweets below:

Colorado offers top-100 class of 2025 prospect Isaiah Campbell

A top-100 class of 2025 recruit received an offer from Colorado

In the leadup to Deion Sanders’ first season as Colorado’s head coach, bolstering the skill positions has proven to be a high priority for him and his staff.

Now, the Buffaloes are jumping in on an impressive East Coast defensive tackle. On Tuesday, 2025 defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, a four-star recruit from Greene Central High School in North Carolina, reported an offer from CU.

Campbell is ranked as the No. 80 overall prospect in 2025 and the No. 8 defensive lineman, per 247Sports.

Colorado is Campbell’s 13th Division I offer, but the Buffs are arguably his highest-profile one, with fellow Power Five schools in North Carolina, Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia, Wake Forest, NC State and Duke also in the mix.

If Colorado could eventually convince Campbell to move out of his home state, it would be a significant pickup for the Buffs as they try to bolster their future talent level along the defensive line.

Colorado offers 2025 four-star CB Blake Woodby

Colorado extended an offer to a shutdown corner from Maryland

Not many coaches in college football can recruit cornerbacks quite like Deion Sanders can.

Blake Woodby, a four-star cornerback in the class of 2025 from high school powerhouse St. Frances Academy in Maryland, was offered by Colorado this week in an effort to woo the talented defensive back to Boulder.

The sophomore now holds 20 offers, including his latest one from Colorado, and is ranked as the No. 9 corner and No. 68 overall player in his class, per 247Sports. As for his play, he definitely excels in man coverage and is advanced in press as well, both traits of which could play a big role in Colorado’s defensive scheme come 2025.

Woodby already stands 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds with two more seasons of high school football remaining.

Colorado offers four-star Florida QB commit Austin Simmons

The #cubuffs offered four-star Florida QB commit Austin Simmons

Whether via the transfer portal or through high school recruiting, Colorado is on the hunt for commitments.

The Buffs have now offered 2025 four-star quarterback Austin Simmons, according to a Twitter post from him on Friday.

Simmons, a Florida native who committed to the Gators on April 4, is the No. 58 overall player in the country and the No. 4 QB in his class (247Sports). The Moore Haven High School product also holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Miami and Penn State, among others.

Since head coach Deion Sanders was hired this offseason, Colorado has cast a broad net for prospects nationwide in an effort to expand the Buffs’ pipeline, and Simmons is the latest prospect on Coach Prime’s wish list.

Given that Simmons is a 2025 prospect, the Buffs have plenty of time to potentially flip him from his home state school.

No. 1 class of 2025 running back Gideon Davidson names Colorado to top 10

The No. 1 overall class of 2025 running back has Colorado in his top 10

Come 2025, it’s possible that Colorado’s offense will welcome the No. 1 overall wide receiver and running back for that year’s recruiting class.

Five-star WR Winston Watkins Jr., the Buffs’ first 2025 commit, ranks No. 6 at his position but is trending upward, and we learned on Friday that top-rated (247Sports) class of 2025 RB Gideon Davidson included CU in his top 10.

Head coach Deion Sanders is now looking to beat out Clemson, Michigan, Oregon, USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn State and Iowa State for Davidson’s pledge.

The 6-foot, 193-pound Lynchburg, Virginia prospect was offered by Colorado on Jan. 30 following a 1,241-yard rushing season at Liberty Christian in which he was named a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American.

Class of 2025 in-state WR Jeremiah Hoffman to visit CU Buffs for spring game

In-state WR Jeremiah Hoffman will be visiting the #cubuffs during the spring game

The good news keeps on coming for the Colorado Buffaloes. For the spring game taking place in April, ESPN will televise, players will come far and wide and fans will pack Folsom Field.

On that day, many recruits will come to watch the new-look Buffs in person, and now class of 2025 wide receiver Jeremiah Hoffman will officially visit the Buffs on that day, as posted on his own Twitter page.

Hoffman, who just finished his sophomore season at Severance High School (about an hour northwest of Boulder) will also be taking visits to UNLV, Nebraska and Wyoming, with Colorado being the final of the four.

Hoffman is a talented player and a multi-sport athlete. He also does track and plays basketball at Severance.

Fellow class of 2025 WR Winston Watkins Jr. was one of the first commits after head coach Deion Sanders took the job, and if Hoffman comes on board, the WR room for that year will look dangerous with a couple of talented freshmen.

Notable recruits expected to visit Colorado this spring

Check out just a few of the notable recruits expected to visit Boulder this spring

It’s getting more and more challenging keeping track of the growing list of recruits who are expected to visit Colorado this spring. On an almost daily basis, reports surface regarding top 100 prospects planning visits to Boulder.

Many of those recruits are even expected to attend the Buffs’ first spring football game under new head coach Deion Sanders, which ESPN is scheduled to air live on April 22.

As of Monday, Colorado owns five class of 2024 commits and one 2025 commit, but more should come soon if spring visits go well.

Below are just a few — not close to all — notable recruits set to visit Colorado this spring:

Four-star athlete LaMason Waller expected to visit Colorado again in coming months

Four-star athlete LaMason Waller, who was in Boulder for Colorado’s Elite Underclassmen Weekend, is expected to visit again in the coming months

The list of recruits set to visit Colorado is growing by the day.

Just a few of the names expected to check out head coach Deion Sanders is building include five-star EDGE Dylan Stewart, athlete Tevis Metcalf and four-star Flordia State commit Kam Davis.

Another prospect to add to that list is LaMason Waller, a four-star class of 2025 athlete who announced via Twitter a list of eight schools he plans on checking out over the next few months: UCLA, Arkansas, Michigan State, Syracuse, Oregon, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Colorado.

Waller’s upcoming visit with the Buffs will be his second. He was also in Boulder for the program’s Elite Underclassmen Weekend in late January.

Here’s what Waller told BuffStampede’s Adam Munsterteiger regarding his most recent visit (subscription required):

“Colorado made a huge impression on me,” Waller said. “I got to sit and chop it up with Coach Deion (Sanders) for about an hour, talk some ball. So Colorado definitely stood out to me. Coach Deion talked to me about my game and what I can improve on. We got to talk high school ball and everything, so I enjoyed that. I went out to Colorado when the former staff was there so it was good to go back out and see the change. What stood out to me is just how bought in this new staff is and how everybody is trying to win and build something special there.

The Hesperia, California recruit is ranked as the No. 99 overall class of 2025 prospect and the No. 9 athlete, per 247Sports.

Skyrocketing 2025 DL Myron Charles discusses Colorado offer

Highly touted 2025 prospect Myron Charles broke down his recent offer from Colorado

For only a sophomore at Port Charlotte High School in Florida, Myron Charles has built up quite an impressive list of Division I offers. The 2025 defensive lineman has yet to be ranked by most major recruiting outlets, but he figures to be at least a four-star based on the early attention he has received.

One of his more recent offers came from Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders, who already owns a 2025 commitment from five-star Winston Watkins Jr. Charles was also offered by Rutgers and Ohio State earlier this same month.

Rutgers Wire managing editor Kristian Dyer was able to get the inside scoop on Charles’ thoughts on Colorado:
