Colorado offers fast-rising 2025 OL Peter Langi

Fast-rising 2025 OL Peter Langi received an offer from Colorado

Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, also known as “Tank,” immediately came to mind as I was learning about Peter Langi, a class of 2025 offensive lineman who announced an offer from Colorado on Monday.

Langi lists himself as 6-foot-7 on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account and 247Sports puts the three-star prospect at 330 pounds ahead of his junior season at Archbishop Riordan High School (San Francisco).

In August alone, Langi has reported other offers from Ohio State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and Cal, among others. Plus, Langi was seen at Oregon in late July for the Ducks’ Saturday Night Live football camp.

He’s currently ranked as the No. 22 IOL for 2024 by 247Sports.

Literally and figuratively, Langi would be a massive addition to Colorado’s 2025 class, which currently includes two offensive skill position commits.

Colorado showing early interest in 2025 QB Jackson Kollock

2025 QB @jackson_kollock has been impressed by Colorado early in his recruitment, per BuffStampede

It makes sense that Jackson Kollock is attracting a good deal of attention early in his college recruitment. The class of 2025 QB impressed as a sophomore at Laguna Beach High School (Calif.) and with a 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame, his ceiling is certainly high.

Per Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede, Colorado offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Sean Lewis visited Laguna Beach during the spring and made a strong impression on Kollock.

“I really love Colorado,” Kollock told BuffStampede. “Coach Lewis was super nice. He really loves the RPO game, which I am very familiar with. He seems like a great coach overall. He was the head coach at Kent State before and he turned that program around. Colorado is headed in a great direction right now so I am really excited to see how they do this year.”

Kollock, who received an offer from the Buffs in May, also told Munsterteiger that multiple new schools have reached out to him since college coaches could begin contacting 2025 recruits by phone on Aug. 1, including Kentucky, Michigan State, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA and Washington.

The three-star QB added that he plans on committing somewhere by this time next year.

Colorado currently owns two 2025 commits: three-star running back Jamarice Wilder and four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr.

Colorado re-offers four-star Oregon commit Dallas Wilson

The #cubuffs re-offered Dallas Wilson, a four-star WR who’s currently committed to Oregon

With college coaches now permitted to call/text rising high school juniors, Colorado’s recruitment of the 2025 class should continue heating up. It already has, too, with three-star running back Jamarice Wilder committing to the Buffs on Wednesday.

Another notable piece of 2025 recruiting news then dropped on Thursday morning as four-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson announced that he had been re-offered by Colorado. The Buffs, however, will have to pry Wilson away from his commitment to Oregon.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Wilson owns other offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, Auburn, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Kentucky and Florida. He’s currently ranked as a top-60 prospect in his class and the No. 10 WR (247Sports Composite).

If the Buffs can flip Wilson, he would become the second four-star WR in head coach Deion Sanders’ 2025 class, joining fellow Floridian Winston Watkins Jr.

Colorado picks up commitment from 2025 three-star RB Jamarice Wilder

Class of 2025 RB @w_jamarice gave his pledge to the #cubuffs

Nearly eight months after Winston Watkins Jr. gave his pledge in December, Colorado picked up its second class of 2025 commitment on Wednesday in Jamarice Wilder.

Wilder is a three-star running back out of Venice, Florida who took an unofficial visit to Boulder last week and announced his CU offer on July 25. Per Ryan Wright of Recruiting News Guru, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound recruit has also picked up offers from Central Michigan, FIU, North Carolina A&T, South Florida, UCF and West Virginia.

As a sophomore at Venice High School last fall, Wilder rushed for 898 yards (142 carries) and 12 touchdowns with an additional 78 receiving yards.

Venice High School passing game coordinator Denzel Nickerson told BuffStampede’s Adam Munsterteiger that Wilder is a “relentless downhill runner.” Nickerson also praised Wilder’s leadership skills and his ability to hold his teammates accountable.

Four-star 2025 WR Phillip Bell sets game day visit with CU Buffs

Four-star WR Phillip Bell has a game day visit with the #cubuffs scheduled

College coaches could begin reaching out to 2025 prospects on Tuesday and it didn’t take long for four-star wide receiver Phillip Bell to receive a call from Colorado’s own Brett Bartolone.

Per Greg Biggins of 247Sports, Bell said that he “enjoyed” his talk with the Buffaloes’ WRs coach, although Bartalone was far from the only college assistant who gave Bell a ring. The Mission Viejo rising junior revealed to Biggins that coaches from Ohio State, USC, Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Wisconsin, Miami, UCLA, Penn State and Tennessee also contacted him.

However, Colorado was one of only three schools that Bell plans on visiting for a game this fall.

“I’m going to Tennessee when they host Georgia (Nov. 18),” Bell told 247Sports. “I’m going to Colorado when they host USC (Sept. 30) and I’ll be at the USC home opener when they host San Jose State (Aug. 26).”

According to his Twitter, Bell was re-offered by the Buffs on Jan. 3 and took a visit to Boulder later that month.

The 247 Composite ranks Bell as the No. 7 WR in his class.

Tim Brewster seeing 2025 Texas TE Jeremiah Scoby as a strong fit for Colorado

2025 Texas TE Jeremiah Scoby gave an encouraging update on his relationship with Colorado

Colorado’s depth at tight end is somewhat concerning as the 2023 season approaches.

After Seydou Traore surprisingly hit the transfer portal in April, the Buffs were left with a group of tight ends without much college football experience. Meanwhile, TEs coach Tim Brewster mentioned earlier this week that he’s high on walk-on Michael Harrison, a converted wide receiver.

With that being the current state of the TEs room, the next two recruiting classes are of critical importance. Looking at the 2025s, Colorado has been locked in on Texas three-star Jeremiah Scoby for some time now, offering him in early December just three days after Deion Sanders was hired as head coach.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound TE visited Boulder for the spring game and remains interested in the Buffs, per Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede.

“Coach Brewster has been telling me he really wants me to come to Colorado because he feels like I am what they need at the tight end position,” Brewster told BuffStampede. “He loves how I play, how versatile I am on the field.”

Scoby also told BuffStampede that he excels in perimeter and attachment blocking, two skills that indeed fit well into what Brewster is looking for at TE.

With five-star Ohio State commit Jontae Gilbert on flip watch, Colorado offers

Colorado is now in the mix for five-star safety Jontae Gilbert, whose commitment to Ohio State appears shaky

Five-star safety Jontae Gilbert’s recruitment remains far from closed despite committing to Ohio State over 11 months ago. In the past six months alone, the 2025 prospect has taken visits to Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, North Carolina State and USC while picking up a multitude of additional offers.

Colorado is now in pursuit, too, as Gilbert announced on Thursday that he received an offer.

The Volunteers, in particular, are going hard at trying to flip Gilbert. As noted by Buckeyes Wire, Gilbert arrived at the Rivals NextGen Pro Day Camp earlier this week wearing Tennessee gloves, which should give Ohio State definite reason to worry.

However, USC may be the school with the most momentum. Adam Gorney of Rivals recently reported that “USC is now the biggest threat to flip the 2025 Ohio State commit after he visited campus over the last few days and fell in love with the coaching staff.”

Fortunately for the Buffs, head coach Deion Sanders is also no stranger to the art of flipping.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Gilbert attends Douglass High School in Atlanta and is the second-ranked safety in his class, per the 247Sports Composite.

Colorado enters crowded race for 2025 WR David Degraff Rodriguez

Colorado became the 30th Division I school to offer 2025 Rhode Island WR David Degraff Rodriguez

Although not yet ranked on 247Sports, class of 2025 wide receiver David Degraff Rodriguez owns 30 Division I offers with Colorado being his latest.

Other prominent schools in the hunt for Rodriguez include Michigan State, Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Penn State. Just last week, Rodriguez visited both Michigan schools and received an offer from Mel Tucker’s Spartans on Tuesday.

The Providence, Rhode Island prospect named a top five of Maryland, Michigan, Georgia, Penn State and South Carolina in April, so the Buffs are playing somewhat from behind to earn his commitment.

While his recruitment appears to be going well, Rodriguez, who reclassified from the class of 2026 to the class of 2025, will look to continue raising his stock with a strong junior season at Mount Pleasant High School.

In December, head coach Deion Sanders landed his first and currently only 2025 commit in top 10 WR Winston Watkins Jr.

REPORT: Colorado expressing interest in 2025 combo guard Kaleb Evans

Colorado is reportedly interested in a 6-foot-3 combo guard from South Carolina

The CU men’s basketball team has become a popular destination for both high school prospects and transfer players. With Cody Williams now in Boulder, there is some considerable buzz around the Buffs.

Now, Colorado is one of a handful of programs that have shown interest in class of 2025 combo guard Kaleb Evans from Lexington High School in South Carolina. Other programs that have expressed interest include Appalachian State, Winthrop, Virginia Tech and his home state South Carolina Gamecocks, per Dino Siervo.

The Buffs also recently brought in 2024 four-star player Robert Miller for a visit, so Tad Boyle is keeping an eye on the future.

Evans is 6-foot-3, 170 pounds and can play both guard positions.

His highlight reel is impressive, and he will only get better as he progresses through his final two high school seasons.

Highly-rated class of 2025 LB Jonah Williams names Buffs to top 12

Top-30 class of 2025 recruit Jonah Williams named Colorado to his top 12

The Colorado Buffaloes have become regulars in the race for top recruits. Now, they are in the final 12 for four-star class of 2025 LB Jonah Williams.

The rest of his 12 is as follows: TCU, Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee, Oklahoma, USC, Arizona State, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and LSU.

Williams is listed as a top 30 recruit nationally, so he is one of the better names in the 2025 class. After the Buffs hired Deion Sanders, they landed their first and only 2025 commit in WR Winston Watkins Jr.

Williams plays at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas and has quite the highlight reel. Of course, Texas and TCU would likely be considered favorites due to being in his home state, but playing for Coach Prime has been a major factor for a number of recruits and transfers.

The Buffs have been busy in the transfer portal but are also thinking about the future as they hope to shape an impressive 2025 class.
