Cowboys, NFL players closer to returning, but protocol questions remain

The league on Monday sent out detailed protocols that explain how 2,000-plus players on 32 teams will go about returning to a workplace where social distancing is impossible.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, no dates have been set, but indications are that certain players may be permitted back inside their club’s facilities before the end of the month.
It’s an encouraging sign for an on-time kickoff to the 2020 season, though some support remains for a delayed October start

Cowboys to hold 2020 training camp at home instead of Oxnard

The decision was hard, with everything swirling around it, but ultimately it was taken out of the Dallas Cowboys’ hands.
Each year for the last decade plus, the team has escaped the Texas summer heat to conduct their annual training camp in the breezy conditions of Oxnard, California.
The Cowboys, however, will not be traveling to California this year for training camp and will instead hold practices in The Star in Frisco

Prescott speaks out as Cowboys org remains silent on George Floyd protests

The Cowboys have yet to make an official statement, like so many other American and global institutions have, about the murder of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department.
Those ills have spawned many companies and sports franchises to speak out in support of change, but to this point, Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, and the Cowboys have remained out of the fray.
Their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott has found his voice on the matter, however, pledging $1 million in support of police training, education and advocacy – mentioned in that order.
Prescott – who has not signed his franchise tag tender and is technically out of work currently – took to his Instagram account to post a series of carefully crafted messages.
Several members of the Cowboys social and multimedia staff have made statements through their personal accounts, but as of the time this article is published the team has not made any statement or gesture

NFL scraps sky judge plans

The league has already done away with pass interference reviews, after on-field officials thumbed their nose at the now-one-year implementation. .
An effort to fix the horrendous officiating was being made with the proposal of an in-stadium booth official that would be able to overrule bad calls.
NFL coaches wanted a sky judge last year, but instead got reviewable pass interference and now they’ll have neither
