A four-star wide receiver has locked in a visit to Lincoln.

A four-star wide receiver has locked in a visit to Lincoln. Cortez Mills is a class of 2025 recruit out of Homestead, Florida.

Mills plans on visiting on Sept. 30, when Nebraska hosts Michigan. He told On3 (subscription required) that he’s been in consistent contact with the Cornhuskers staff.

“I am hearing from coach Garret McGuire, coach Corey Cooper, coach Simpson, and even from head coach Matt Rhule a couple of times.”

Mills has other visits planned for the future. He’s also planning trips to Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Miami, and Penn State.

The receiver is ranked as a top 20 prospect at his position in the class of 2025.

Another 4-star prospect will attend the Tennessee game

The list grows again. Another four-star recruit will be in town for the Vols game.

The guest list grows again.

Four-star wide receiver [autotag]Cortez Mills[/autotag] announced he will be in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for the showdown between the Florida Gators and No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers.

Mills received an official offer in early August and wants to wander the UF campus, knowing the team would welcome a verbal commitment with open arms.

“When I step foot on campus again with the offer,” Mills said. “I want to see how they treat me.”

Mills made a trip to Coral Gables, Florida, this past Saturday to watch the matchup between Miami and Texas A&M. Both schools sent offers to Mills. Miami probably has an extra leg in the race after beating the Aggies on Saturday, 48-33.

According to Graham Hall at 247Sports, Florida assistant wide receiver coach David Doeker is contacting Mills to keep the Gators’ foot in the door.

“I feel like we’re building a great bond already,” Mills said. “(Doeker’s) been giving hints that he wants me to get up there to The Swamp, but I just never had time to get up there.”

Tennessee hasn’t sent Mills an offer (yet), so the ball is in Florida’s court for recruiting a highly regarded prospect. Cortez Mills sits at No. 153 on the 247Sports ratings and is the 20th-best wideout in the nation.

Kickoff for the battle between Florida and No. 11 Tennessee is set for 7 p.m. EDT at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The matchup will air on ESPN.

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to class of 2025 wide receiver recruit Cortez Mills. Mills is ranked as a four-star recruit.

Cortez Mills is considered the No. 98 recruit in the nation, per 247Sports. Mills is the No. 16 wide receiver and No. 19 player in Florida in the class of 2025.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound wide receiver has recent scholarship offers from Florida, Penn State, Western Carolina, and Clemson.

Auburn offers elite 2025 WR Cortez Mills

He is one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Auburn’s recruiting has kicked it up several notches under [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and the Tigers are looking to keep the momentum going.

While it’s the 2024 class that has gotten the attention, Auburn’s coaches are starting to work on the 2025 cycle and on Friday they offered [autotag]Cortez Mills[/autotag], one of the top wide receivers in the country.

Mills is from Homestead, Florida, and already has over two dozen offers and more are surely on the way for the talented pass catcher. He is the No. 98 overall player and No. 16 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 19 player from the Sunshine State.

Making the jump from the Sun Belt to the SEC, Auburn wide receiver coach [autotag]Marcus Davis[/autotag] has proven he can recruit at the highest level and Mills would be another big get. He has already flipped five-star wide receiver [autotag]Perry Thompson[/autotag] from Alabama and landed four-star targets [autotag]Bryce Cain[/autotag] and [autotag]Malcolm Simmons[/autotag], all in less than one year on the job.

The Tigers currently have one commit in their 2025 class, four-star defensive lineman [autotag]Malik Autry[/autotag].

South Florida 4-star WR picks up offer from Gators

The Florida Gators are handing out offers to the class of 2025’s very best, including four-star wide receiver Cortez Mills from Homestead.

The Gators first took notice of Homestead wide receiver [autotag]Cortez Mills[/autotag] after last year’s Friday Night Lights camp. Mills “dominated” the camp, according to a recent interview with Swamp 247, and has now received an offer a year later.

August 1 marked the first day that college coaches could reach out to the class of 2025, and Cortez is one of the team’s primary pass-catching targets. David Doeker, a graduate student coach that played college ball at LSU, is Mills’ main contact in Gainesville.

Doeker was the first one to reach out to him once the contact period began. He’d been looking to offer Mills for a while but was unable to do so without him being on campus. Mills speaks fondly of the Swamp and Florida faithful. He’s visited for games in the past and described the experience as “lit.”

The next step is getting Mills on campus as an offered recruit. He’ll be looking at the program with different eyes and comparing UF to some of the nation’s best. Clemson, Georgia and Michigan are a couple of the teams pushing for him right now.

Mills is a consensus four-star recruit, ranked highest by Rivals.com at No. 97 overall in the class of 2025. The On3 industry ranking, which uses a weighted average of all four major recruiting services, has him at No. 106 nationally and No. 17 among receivers in his class.
