The Washington Commanders (6-2) and New York Giants (4-3) meet in Week 9 Sunday. Kickoff from MetLife Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Commanders vs. Giants odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions..

The Commanders secured a dramatic 18-15 win against the Chicago Bears with a last-second Hail Mary from rookie QB Jayden Daniels to WR Noah Brown. Covering as 1-point home favorites, the game also went under the total of 46 points. Daniels, who was questionable due to a rib injury, delivered a career-best performance with 326 passing yards and 52 rushing yards. WR Terry McLaurin shone as well, catching 5 passes for 125 yards in the victory.

The Giants dropped their third straight game on Monday Night Football, losing 26-18 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They failed to cover the spread as 6-point road underdogs, but the game went over the total of 37.5 points. The Giants’ defense struggled, allowing 426 yards—259 through the air and 167 on the ground. Despite the loss, rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. gave a strong performance, rushing 20 times for 145 yards and a touchdown. He was in the concussion protocol this week, but he has cleared it and will play.

Commanders at Giants picks and predictions

Prediction

Commanders 20, Giants 13

Moneyline

PASS.

The Giants seem like a wounded animal midway through the season. The Commanders (-210) are poised to end any chance of the New York salvaging their campaign, but I’ll take the better odds on the spread.

Against the spread

BET COMMANDERS -4 (-110).

In their Week 2 matchup, the Commanders narrowly defeated the Giants 21-18, a win that kickstarted Washington’s successful season. While the Giants won both games last year, this season seems poised for a reversal. The Commanders were only -1 favorites in their first meeting but have since earned a 3-point boost as road favorites.

In that initial game, Daniels threw for 226 yards but failed to reach the end zone. However, he has since flourished, completing 70.6% of his passes with 7 touchdowns and 2 rushing scores over his last 5 games, averaging 330 passing yards and 48.4 rushing yards (excluding the Carolina game). The Giants will look to apply pressure, having sacked Daniels 5 times in their last encounter, but he has gained confidence since then. If New York’s offense struggles to stay on the field, Washington’s 6-1-1 ATS record could lead to another victory.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 44.5 (-110).

Although their first meeting ended with a combined score of 39 points, the total has bloomed to 44.5. This increase reflects the strength of Washington’s offense, which has tallied 34 or more points in 4 of their last 6 games. However, the Commanders only managed 18 points last week as Daniels coped with rib pain. The Giants, on the other hand, have struggled offensively, scoring over 18 points just twice this season. With the Under hitting in 6 of their 8 games and 4-1-1 in their last 6 meetings, this matchup could lean towards low-scoring.

Washington Commanders at New York Giants odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Washington Commanders at New York Giants odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Washington Commanders (3-3) face the New York Giants (1-5) Sunday in Week 7 NFL action. Kickoff at MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Commanders vs. Giants odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Commanders broke a 3-game losing streak in Week 6 with a road win over the Atlanta Falcons, 24-16. QB Sam Howell threw 3 touchdown passes to 3 different players in the victory. Washington’s defense intercepted Falcons QB Desmond Ridder 3 times to stifle any chance of a comeback. It looks to improve its division record to .500 with a win Sunday.

The Giants lost their 4th straight game, in Buffalo last Sunday. New York failed to score a touchdown and settled for 3 field goals from K Graham Gano. They have been held to 16 points or fewer in 5 of their 6 games and have the lowest per-game point total in the NFL.

The last time these teams met was in Dec. 2022 in Washington, and the Giants won 20-12 as 4-point underdogs. The Commanders are 2-1-1 in their last 4 head-to-head meetings but 1-3 against the spread (ATS).

Commanders at Giants picks and predictions

Prediction

Commanders 23, Giants 13

Moneyline

PASS.

This game is basically a coin flip, even if Jones is able to play. I watch every single Commanders game being a DC-area native, and this is a game they could easily lose despite being the better and healthier overall team. I’m not going to put down $150 to win $100 on what is essentially a coin flip.

Against the spread

PASS.

For all the same reasons I listed above, I’m going to avoid this bet as well. The Giants are littered with injuries across their offensive line and their starting quarterback will likely not play. The Commanders are not a good enough team to go in and win this game convincingly like they should. Look to the total for my favorite bet.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 37.5 (-110).

This is a really low total. Typically, I’d always look to the Over in a game that has a total under 40 but not this one. The Giants held the Bills to just 14 points, and the Commanders defense is better than its statistics would tell you.

This game will be a slog between 2 teams trying to find their way this season.

The Washington Commanders (7-5) visit a familiar foe in divisional opponent the New York Giants (7-4) Sunday. Kickoff from MetLife Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Commanders vs. Giants odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Commanders are on a 4-game winning streak and making a playoff push in the NFC East. They beat the Atlanta Falcons last week 19-13 as 3.5-point favorites in a game that came down to the last play. The Commanders played just well enough to beat Atlanta, but will need to play much better if they want to beat a tough Giants team.

The Giants have lost 2 straight game, the last 28-20 on Thanksgiving Day vs. the Dallas Cowboys. The lack of a running game in that game made it hard for the offense to capitalize on the turnovers that their defense created. I don’t see that trend continuing as the Cowboys defense is better on all fronts than that of the Commanders.

Commanders at Giants picks and predictions

Prediction

Giants 24, Commanders 21

Moneyline

BET GIANTS +110.

The Giants will win this game because of their coaching and ability to disrupt the QB. The Giants and Commanders are 2 teams who would both be in the playoffs right now, and there’s a reason. Both teams are solid both offensively and defensively. Clock management will be a big thing toward the end of this game, as the game will come down to the wire, and with RB Saquon Barkley the Giants can run the clock easily.

Against the spread

BET GIANTS +2.5 (-109)

I am confident in the Giants ability to win and I don’t see the Commanders winning 5 straight games. While they have looked solid recently I simply think the Commanders won’t win this game. It will be close no matter who wins and I believe in the Giants ability to force turnovers and string together stops more than I trust the Commanders defense to do the same.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 40.5 (-113)

Both these teams have talented offenses, and while this bet does come with a fair amount of risk I also believe in the Over here. Neither team has such a stifling defense that the other won’t be able to score, and both teams have solid enough offenses to make this a very decent scoring game.
