Inter Miami CF vs. Columbus Crew odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Inter Miami CF vs. Columbus Crew odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

Inter Miami CF (10 wins, 13 losses, 6 draws) welcomes the Columbus Crew (9-6-14) to DRV PNK Stadium Tuesday. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we preview Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Inter Miami CF vs. Columbus Crew odds, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Sitting in 7th in the Eastern Conference, the Crew needs to find a way to secure 3 points on the road. They’re 3 points ahead and a game behind the 8th-seeded New England Revolution.

Inter Miami has the same amount of games played as Columbus, but is 5 points behind in the standings. The Crew are led by M Lucas Zelarayán, who has 9 goals in 21 starts this season.

Miami has been led by 34-year-old F Gonzalo Higuaín with 10 goals in 23 appearances. Including a 1-0 loss in Columbus, Miami has lost 3 straight matches.

Inter has been far better at home though as they post an 8-3-3 record at DRV PNK Stadium.

They’re 3-0-1 in their last 4 home matches. Inter has 5 matches left, 3 of them at home, so there is a slim chance they got hot and are able to make the playoffs.

Prediction

Inter Miami 2, Columbus Crew 1

Money line (ML)

LEAN INTER MIAMI CF (+135).

Miami has been a different animal at home. Also, Miami is about 2 weeks removed from losing in Columbus to the Crew, and there’s no denying that they’ll have that in the back of their minds.

Miami has not lost to an Eastern Conference team in both matches this season. Even against Philadelphia and NYCFC, it either drew or won the game they didn’t lose.

The Crew have lost just once since May 21. They are a solid side, but this trend is going to be snapped eventually. Against a hungry Miami team that plays well at a home, I’d bet Miami is able to come out on top.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-115).

Miami has hit this total in their last 7 home games and has only missed it in 3 of 14 home matches this season. Miami is a strong attacking side with an experienced and skilled striker leading the way.

Similarly, Columbus newcomer F Cucho has 8 goals in 10 starts. He’s been a huge help to an offense that struggled early in the season.

Miami is tied for the 4th-most goals allowed in the East as well, so it is a side that has a weak defense which should help the Crew. Columbus also ranks in the top half of the league in passing percentage and shots.

It should be able to make its way through Miami’s porous defense.

Columbus Crew vs. Inter Miami odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Columbus Crew vs. Inter Miami odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

The Columbus Crew (8 wins, 6 losses, 12 draws) welcome Inter Miami (10-11-6) to Lower.com Field Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Columbus Crew vs. Inter Miami odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

The Crew are coming into this matchup after they somehow salvaged a 2-2 draw in Cincinnati. Their 1st goal was controversially not ruled offside while their 2nd goal came late after the 90th minute.

Nonetheless, they escaped with a point. The Crew have drawn 3 straight and 4 of their last 6. They’re led by star MLucas Zelarayán, who has 8 goals and a team-high 5 assists on the season.

Inter Miami and the Crew have both gotten to 36 points in drastically different routes as Miami wins or loses games while the Crew have a bunch of draws.

Inter is led by 34-year-old Argentinian star F Gonzalo Higuaín with 9 goals this season. They have won 3 of their last 5 and are 3-1-1 in that span.

Prediction

Columbus Crew 2, Inter Miami 2

Money line (ML)

LEAN DRAW (+310).

The Crew have been a drawing machine all season, and after being dominated against FCC despite coming away with a draw, I wouldn’t put much on their juiced money line at -145.

The draw, considering they have 12 on the season, has good value. Also, Miami is playing well as of late, so it is finally starting to put things together with the expensive talent they’ve added.

Inter has finished with .5 expected goals of their opponent in 3 straight matches. While their games haven’t finished in a draw, they’ve certainly been close-fought battles.

Prior to the Crew’s game against FCC, they had 5 games within an expected goal of their opponent. Both teams should be at the other’s level. Considering that, I like the DRAW(+310).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-150).

Earlier in the season, the Crew were a slow-paced side. Since adding 23-year-old F Cucho, Columbus has drastically increased its scoring. It has scored 16 goals in its last 9 games, only going scoreless once.

Inter is a score-heavy side as well, totaling 13 goals in their last 6. Columbus has given up 9 in its last 5 matches while Miami has allowed 8 in their last 4.

Putting it all together, we should see an energetic match Wednesday and I expect a plethora of goals. This, despite the juice, is the best value in the match.
