Colts’ DeForest Buckner named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the 27-20 win over the Texans.
Despite a season-low 51% of snaps, Buckner found several ways to ruin the day for the Texans. He finished with 3.0 sacks, four quarterback hits, and two tackles for loss while leading the defense with five total pressures.

Colts’ Rigoberto Sanchez to have cancerous tumor removed

Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez revealed on Instagram that doctors found a cancerous tumor that will require surgery. He is expected to undergo the procedure on Tuesday.
Head coach Frank Reich told reporters after Sunday’s loss against the Titans that Sanchez was dealing with a physical issue that required further medical evaluation.
It led to the team keeping him from performing his typical kickoff duties.
Sanchez revealed Monday morning that the doctors found the tumor before it spread to the rest of his body.
It is apparent that the Colts will be without their punter, but that is the least of the worries right now. Getting him healthy after this surgery will be the top priority

Colts place DE Denico Autry on COVID-19 list

The Colts have placed defensive end Denico Autry on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Friday.
Autry popped up on the injury report on Thursday that was listed as an illness. It isn’t clear if Autry tested positive for COVID-19 or if he was in close contact with someone that did.
Because Autry is on the reserve list, he won’t be available to play against the Packers on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts also had defensive tackle Grover Stewart and defensive ends Tyquan Lewis and Al-Quadin Muhammad on the injury report listed non-injury related reasons, but head coach Frank Reich said they are good to go.
In addition to Autry, special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone will also miss the game due to COVID-related issues

Colts’ Jack Doyle (concussion) ruled OUT vs. Ravens

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens as he’s dealing with concussion symptoms.

With Doyle out and Noah Togiai a healthy scratch, the Colts will lean on the duo of Mo Alie-Cox and Trey Burton at tight end
