Colorado at Washington State odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Colorado Buffaloes at Washington Cougars odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Colorado Buffaloes (13-7, 5-5 Pac-12) visit the Washington State Cougars (11-7, 4-3) Sunday at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Wash., for a 10 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we look at the Colorado vs. Washington State odds and lines and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Colorado split a pair of Pac-12 games on a trip to the Northwest during the week. The Buffaloes won at Oregon 82-78 Tuesday and lost at Washington 60-58 Thursday. Colorado is 1-3 over its last four games.

Washington State – which lost at Colorado 83-78 Jan. 6 – has won three of its last four, most recently defeating Utah 71-54 Wednesday. Due to a pair of recent postponements (at Oregon and Oregon State) because of COVID-19 protocols within WSU program, this will be Wazzou’s fourth consecutive home game. The Cougars are 8-5 straight up and 5-8 against the spread across 13 games in Pullman.

Colorado at Washington State odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado 68, Washington State 66

Money line

Both teams are solid on defense, but on offense, the visitors have a couple trump cards in this matchup. The Buffs rely more on their frontcourt and figure to get their points inside the arc. They also do well at getting to the free-throw line, where they’re shooting 74.3% for the season.

Tab COLORADO (+220) as a worthy plus-money play for closing out the week.

Against the spread

Wazzou is shooting under 40% from the field over its last 13 games. The Cougars are under 40% across their last half-dozen games, and they’ve shot just 38.0% over their last two.

WSU needs to grab offensive rebounds to excel, but that was a problem area the first time these teams met and Colorado is a very good defensive rebounding team.

BACK THE BUFFALOES +5.5 (-105).

Over/Under

Colorado’s pace numbers have been on the incline. Both teams have solid defensive numbers but against lesser offenses in general. Both play at moderate-pace numbers, and there is room for optimism on the OVER 132.5 (-107).
