The Colorado Rapids (8 wins, 11 losses, 8 draws) travel to face Nashville SC (10-9-9) at GEODIS Park Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Nashville SC vs. Colorado Rapids odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.
After going winless in 6 straight matches, Nashville SC has found its groove as of late, beating its last two opponents (Vancouver and FC Dallas) by a combined score of 7-0.
Nashville is led by one of the best forwards in MLS, Hany Mukhtar. He has 16 goals and 7 assists on the season, leading the team in both categories. It sits in 5th place in the West.
Colorado is on the outside looking in. It sits in 11th and will need to make up 5 points on the 7th-placed LA Galaxy to reach the playoffs.
The Rapids have been awful on the road this season though, posting just a 1-9-3 record. Things appeared to be looking up after 2 straight wins over the New York Red Bulls and Minnesota United, but they’re now winless in 4 straight contests.

Prediction
Nashville SC 2, Colorado Rapids 1
Money line (ML)
BET NASHVILLE SC (-155).
I don’t love the value tied to this, but the Rapids have been too sloppy on the road not to take the home side. Colorado has lost 9 of 13 road matches and has lost 2 straight away from DSG Park.
The confidence is there for Nashville. The home team has won 2 straight contests and both games have been dominant efforts by the D Walker Zimmerman-led side. He’s been huge this season and should be able to tame a solid Rapids attack.
Colorado’s weakness isn’t in its offense, but rather that it allows 1.7 goals per game. It has just 1 clean sheet since May 23. Given Nashville has scored 7 goals in its last 2 games, the Rapids should have no chance to keep up.
Colorado lost 6-0 at Philadelphia Saturday as well. That may be a killer for its confidence, especially as it continues to edge lower in the playoff standings. Combine it all, and I’ll take the home side.
Over/Under (O/U)
LEAN OVER 2.5 (-160).
The value really isn’t great here which is why it is just a lean, but considering the strengths and weaknesses of both clubs, it is certainly the most reasonable play. Colorado has gone Over this total in 5 of its last 8 games.
The Rapids have allowed multiple goals in 5 of those 8 as well. They’ve also scored in all but 2 games since May 7, so they typically get on the board as well. Colorado is paced in scoring by F Diego Rubio who has 12 goals on the season.
Nashville has gone over this in 4 of its last 5 home matches and in 4 straight games. While I do like the OVER 2.5 (-160), my favorite play might be a PARLAY PLAY OF OVER 1.5 at (-540) and NASHVILLE SC (-150) combined to odds of (-118).
