The banging noise on Steelers-Browns broadcast was so annoying that even Al Michaels complained

Al Michaels said it!

Amazon NFL broadcaster Al Michaels spoke for all fans on Thursday night by griping about the banging noise coming from the Pittsburgh Steelers-Cleveland Browns game broadcast.

Cleveland fans in attendance at Huntington Bank Field banged on what sounded like a metal fence during the game, which created an awful clanging noise that invaded the broadcast.

Michaels sassed the noisemakers while he was trying to call the game.

“You see where that thrilling noise is coming from,” Michaels sarcastically said. “I really appreciate that.”

The sound of the clanging was awful, so Michaels was a man of the people here by blasting such a noisy nuisance on the game broadcast.

Maurice Hurst forces another Browns turnover on downs vs. Steelers

The Browns’ defense continues their “bend but don’t break” mentality!

The Cleveland Browns continue to roll in this week 12 matchup as the defense was able to force another turnover on downs against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This time it was defensive tackle Maurice Hurst.

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has shown that he was well prepared for the Steelers fourth down attack with Justin Fields. On a 4th and inches play, the Steelers used Fields as a decoy and handed the ball to running Jaylen Warren. He was quickly met by Hurst, who put an immediate end to the run. Pittsburgh has now failed to convert both of their fourth down attempts against the Browns with this second turnover on downs.

It’s been a surprisingly impressive performance for the Cleveland Browns defense tonight. They have now forced three turnovers in this game with plenty of time left in the game. The Cleveland defense cannot continue to rely on turnovers to win this game; the offense must start capitalizing on its drives. We’ll see if the defense can continue to hold strong throughout the remainder of this AFC North matchup.

Myles Garrett wreaks havoc in first half vs. Steelers on Thursday Night Football

The Reigning Defensive Player of the Year is taking it personally.

Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns defense continue to show strength on Thursday Night Football with another forced turnover against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year has had a tremendous performance in the first half of this game. On a crucial responsive drive for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Garrett forced a fumble from quarterback Russell Wilson on second down. The ball was recovered by linebacker Winston Reid after Garrett and Wilson wrestled for the recovery. In the strong effort by the entire Cleveland Browns defense, Garrett has already collected three sacks along with the forced fumble.

The Browns have been able to shut down this rolling Steelers offense so far in this game. The Steelers, who are averaging 27.25 points per game since Russell Wilson took over, only have three points heading into halftime. We’ll see if the Cleveland defense and their leader, Myles Garrett, can have a similar performance in the second half.

On the board: Chubb gives Browns the lead on Thursday Night Football

Nick Chubb scores and Cleveland rejoices

The Cleveland Browns take the lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football thanks to a rushing touchdown from Nick Chubb.

Halfway through the second quarter, Chubb finished off a 12-play, 80-yard drive with a two-yard rushing touchdown. After going down 3-0 on the previous drive, Cleveland responded with a methodical drive to take the lead on Thursday Night Football against their AFC North foe.

Quarterback Jameis Winston got the drive going through the air, connecting with Jerry Jeudy on three straight attempts for 39 yards. He also connected with tight end David Njoku, receiver Elijah Moore, and Chubb to go six-for-six on the scoring drive. Chubb and Jerome Ford got the ground game going, with 13 and nine yards, respectively. Winston is now up to eight of 10 on the night for 72 yards, while the Browns have averaged 3.6 yards per carry on the ground.

Despite some cold and wet conditions, the offenses have picked up in the second quarter. Cleveland’s defense has been strong outside of a few explosive plays and will look to hold steady for an upset win over the rival Steelers.

Browns force crucial turnover on downs in first quarter vs. Steelers

A huge stop for the defense!

The Cleveland Browns’ defense forced an early turnover in the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a turnover on downs.

Cleveland’s defense has had mixed performances so far but held strong on fourth down after a rocky start to the drive. Pittsburgh’s second drive of the game started hot after big gains from Pat Friermuth and Najee Harris.

After that, they could only find the strong Browns defensive front. The turnover occurred on a fourth down carry from Steelers backup quarterback Justin Fields. The quarterback appeared to make the incorrect read on the play as he quickly ran into Browns defenders Myles Garrett and Grant Delpit.

Despite giving up some chunk yardage plays, the Browns have remained strong when they need to so far in this contest. Both drives have been very similar in their results, but Cleveland will need to improve. This will hopefully not be the last turnover of the game for the Browns as they continue to try and limit this explosive Steelers offense.

NFL insider hints at Browns’ future plans in their quarterback room

Insider Albert Breer seems to indicate Watson’s time as the undisputed starter are over.

One NFL insider has hinted at how the Cleveland Browns will handle quarterback Deshaun Watson and their quarterback room heading into the offseason.

First, ESPN insider Adam Schefter confidently stated that firing head coach Kevin Stefanski is not even on the table for the Browns. Now in the pregame festivities before Thursday Night Football, sideline reporter Albert Breer provided more insight on how the Browns might approach their quarterback position in 2025.

“I’ve been told that rather than look to build him up with what’s around him the way they have the way they have the last couple of years, that’s one reason why Joe Flacco isn’t there anymore, they are going to look to put competition in the quarterback room either through the draft or free agency.”

It sure sounds like, despite the money owed to Watson over the next two seasons, that the Browns are looking to get better. That starts with the quarterback position. Sitting at 2-8 on the season, the Browns may have a chance to land a name like Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.

Weather conditions impact Steelers-Browns Week 12 matchup early

Windy conditions define the first quarter of Steelers-Browns TNF, as Chris Boswell and Corey Bojorquez struggle against the elements.

While heavy rain, snow, and wind were expected for Week 12’s Thursday Night Football matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, not much action could be seen on the field early on. That changed with Steelers kicker Chris Boswell’s 58-yard field goal attempt and Browns punter Corey Bojorquez’s wind-swept punt, both of which highlighted the impact of the unpredictable weather.

With less than 10 minutes remaining in the first quarter, Boswell attempted a 58-yard field goal that appeared to be pushed wide right by a gust of wind at the last second, giving Cleveland favorable field position.

The Browns faced similar challenges shortly after. Following a quick three-and-out, Bojorquez’s punt struggled to gain distance, largely stifled by the wind. The Steelers were almost in prime position to capitalize, but cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr.’s questionable personal foul penalty on the play set them back.

Will the severe weather continue to shape Week 12’s TNF showdown? Fans can only hope the Steelers can keep feeding running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren to counteract the wind’s effect on deep passes.

One year ago today, the Steelers offense changed forever

One year ago, the Steelers fired OC Matt Canada, starting a journey to rebuild their offense and achieve success under OC Arthur Smith.

One year ago today, fans of the Black and Gold danced in the streets of Pittsburgh, and excitement could be seen on the face of every member of the Steelers organization. On November 21, 2023, the Pittsburgh Steelers fired OC Matt Canada.

Under Canada’s 2023 offensive scheme, through his eleven games that season, the Steelers’ offense posted five games with 17 points or less. His last game as offensive coordinator came in Week 11, following a mere 10 points scored against the Cleveland Browns.

While it took some time, the Steelers would score 34 points against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16 and 30 points against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17.

While fans were forced to play the blame game between then-starting QB Kenny Pickett, backup QB Mitchell Trubisky, and former OC Matt Canada, the offense improved to 19.7 points per game without Canada calling the plays.

Ultimately, one year ago today marked the beginning of the journey to solving the Steelers’ offensive issues and resulted in an impressive offense led by OC Arthur Smith and QB Russell Wilson.

NFL insider gives near certain revelation on Kevin Stefanski’s job security

ESPN’s Adam Schefter said a firing of Kevin Stefanski is “not happening”

The Cleveland Browns are suffering through a rough 2-8 season, but the job security of head coach Kevin Stefanski does not appear to be in jeopardy.

Getting set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on a short week, that is all Stefanski has to worry about. ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter quickly shut the door on any chance that Stefanski would be fired just a few months after inking a new contract extension. Here is what Schefter had to say:

“There’s a lot of people making noise about Kevin Stefanski being on the hot seat and I don’t quite understand it … my understanding is they’re not doing anything right now despite all the noise about the Browns potentially making a coaching change. Not happening.”

Stefanski, less than one year removed from being named the NFL Coach of the Year for the second time, has once again been forced to battle through multiple injuries at key positions. However, it seems like any quarterback who is not the one they paid $230 million for gets the job done in his offense.

If more of the same happens the rest of the way out with Jameis Winston under center, Stefanski has not only enough leverage to cool off his seat substantially but advocate for a new quarterback as well.

No need to fire up the coaching list, Browns fans. Kevin Stefanski isn’t going anywhere.

Watch: HBO releases Hard Knocks In-Season with the AFC North trailer

HBO released the trailer for Hard Knocks In-Season with the AFC North. The show premieres Tuesday, December 3 on Max.

HBO released the trailer for their new series, Hard Knocks In-Season with the AFC North. The classic HBO drama will cover the division as the teams push for the playoffs. The show premieres Tuesday, December 3 on Max.

Despite not being in the playoff race the Browns will be seen plenty in the series. The Browns have five games against the AFC North during the show. The Browns can play a spoiler to their division rivals’ hopes and dreams.

The Steelers and Ravens are battling for the AFC North title. Meanwhile, the Bengals are a loss away from joining the Browns’ quest of soul searching.

Filming started earlier this week and the first episode should cover the upcoming Thursday night game between the Browns and the Steelers.

Hard Knocks does a fantastic job of capturing the drama within an organization. The Browns could find themselves dissected if they continue their losing streak. Head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry are facing their biggest obstacles this season. Between the media and the ownership, the Browns smell of their former dysfunction. With a temperamental owner, the duo could find themselves locked out of Berea. There is never a dull moment with the Browns, and HBO will be there to capture all of it.
