WATCH: Grant Delpit gets water bath after career day vs. Commanders

Grant Delpit gets a water bath in celebration of his big game against the Commanders

The Cleveland Browns improved to 7-9 on the season after a win against the Washington Commanders. And a big reason why they had so much success on the afternoon was due to the ball-hawking of safety Grant Delpit, who had two interceptions on the day. During his locker room speech afterward, head coach Kevin Stefanski highlighted all of the standouts. And hilarity broke out when he got to Delpit as cornerback Greedy Williams then stood over him and dumped water on his head in celebration as if he’d just won the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

As the Browns look to close the season on a two-game winning streak as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, they will need Delpit to continue to stack games as he has done since the bye week.

WATCH: Deshaun Watson finds Donovan Peoples-Jones to give Browns two-score lead

Donovan Peoples-Jones gives the Browns a two-score lead!

With a full quarter to go, the Cleveland Browns have now taken a two-score lead over the Washington Commanders. After hitting Amari Cooper for his first passing touchdown of the game, quarterback Deshaun Watson has now connected with Donovan Peoples-Jones for six as well to give the Browns a 17-7 lead in D.C.

This half has been complementary football at its finest for the Browns as the defense has shut the Commanders out through two drives in the second half, and the Browns have found the endzone on both of their possessions as well. The Browns are now just 15 minutes away from their seventh win on the season.

WATCH: Deshaun Watson connects with Amari Cooper to take lead vs. Commanders

The Browns have re-taken the lead!

The Cleveland Browns have retaken the lead against the Washington Commanders. Finally taking advantage of a big stop defensively after wasting two Carson Wentz interceptions, quarterback Deshaun Watson connected with wide receiver Amari Cooper for a Cleveland touchdown. This was the first catch for Cooper on the afternoon as he picked up a massive chunk after the catch to house an intermediate throw.

Can the Browns continue to get after Wentz and force another turnover? Can the offense continue to show signs of life in the second half? The Browns are 24 minutes from their seventh win of the season in this one.

WATCH: Grant Delpit comes away with second Carson Wentz pick vs. Commanders

The Browns have their second takeaway of the afternoon!

The Cleveland Browns have now intercepted Carson Wentz for the second time as Grant Delpit has come away with the pick. First, it was Denzel Ward who picked Wentz off, and now the Delpit gives the Browns their second turnover against the Commanders.

Delpit has come along quite nicely for the Browns over the back half of the season and has earned his keep in Cleveland. Some overhaul is needed on the defensive side of the football, but Delpit is here to stay as he has proven capable against the run and the pass for the Browns. The Browns currently lead 3-0 in the second quarter.

WATCH: Denzel Ward picks off Carson Wentz on opening drive

Denzel Ward comes away with a big turnover!

The Cleveland Browns are now up 3-0 against the Washington Commanders, and that is due to a massive takeaway from the defense. On their opening possession of the game, Commanders’ quarterback gifted cornerback Denzel Ward with an interception to give the Browns excellent field position.

The Browns have the advantage on paper, and they are off to an early lead against the Commanders. They will need to start scoring touchdowns instead of field goals, but they now force Washington to play from behind early in this one. Can the Browns close the season on a high note and pick up their seventh win of the season on New Year’s Day?

WATCH: Nick Chubb gives the Browns a consolation score vs. Dolphins

The Browns have cut the deficit to 13 points as Nick Chubb breaks a long run vs. the Dolphins.

The Cleveland Browns have scored their second offensive touchdown of the game against the Miami Dolphins. After Harrison Bryant caught a touchdown on the opening drive of the game, running back Nick Chubb finds the endzone now in the fourth quarter on a big run up the sideline.

This score cuts the Miami lead to 13 as the score now sits at 30-17 as we have just entered the fourth quarter. Entering that offensive drive, the Browns had not found any success running the football. As it sits now, Chubb has racked up 64 yards on 11 carries. As the defense looks to breathe life back into this game, this may be too little too late for the Browns.

WATCH: Browns strike first vs. Dolphins on Harrison Bryant touchdown

The Browns strike first as quarterback Jacoby Brissett caps off a big drive against the Dolphins, finding Harrison Bryant in the endzone

The Cleveland Browns have struck first against the Miami Dolphins. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett went 3-for-3 on the drive, including a game-opening bomb to wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones. The Browns capped the drive off with a touchdown pass to Harrison Bryant inside their own five-yard line.

The Cleveland offense could not have asked for a better start to this game, striking first out of their bye week. As the defense comes on the field to take on the potent Miami offense, this game has the makings of a shootout. Can the Browns keep pace and pull out their second win in a row?

WATCH: Nick Chubb puts the Browns on top vs. Bengals on direct snap

The Browns have taken the lead over the Bengals in the second quarter as Nick Chubb runs it in for six.

The Cleveland Browns have jumped out to an 8-0 lead over the Cincinnati Bengals as Nick Chubb has scored his ninth rushing touchdown on the season. Capping off a long drive that featured quarterback Jacoby Brissett and wide receiver Amari Cooper, the Browns motioned Brissett to the sideline and gave Chubb the direct snap. Chubb did the rest.

The Bengals then jumped offsides on the point after attempt. The Browns then went for two points from the one-yard line, where Chubb once again pounded the football into the endzone. As the Browns’ defense continues to keep the Bengals out of the endzone and even intercepted Joe Burrow, can they sneak out a primetime win?

WATCH: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah forces turnover for Browns vs. Ravens

The Browns have an opportunity to pull this off after Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has forced a turnover against the Ravens

The Cleveland Browns have the football back down just three points as linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has punched out the football to force a fumble. The Baltimore Ravens have been prone to losing fourth-quarter leads this season, and the Browns are in a position to force another one here.

A rushing touchdown by Kareem Hunt put the Browns within three, but the Ravens drove down the field and pushed the football into the Browns’ red zone. After two straight down weeks for Owusu-Koramoah, this is a great way to make a statement when your team needed it most.

Can the Browns pull this one off and advance to 2-0 in the AFC North?

WATCH: Kareem Hunt puts Browns back within striking distance vs. Ravens

Kareem Hunt puts the Browns back within striking distance with a fourth quarter rushing touchdown

Running back Kareem Hunt has put the Cleveland Browns back in striking distance, pushing the football into the endzone within the five-yard line. Now trailing the Baltimore Ravens by three points, the Browns will rely on their defense to get the Ravens off the field once again. They now trail the Ravens by a score of 20-23.

The Browns methodically ran the football down the field, taking pressure off of struggling backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett. This is the second rushing touchdown of the game after Nick Chubb found the endzone on the first drive of the game as well. This game is far from over with nine minutes left in the game.
