Offensive lineman in the 2025 class decommits from Clemson

Swinney and the Tigers lose a commitment from their 2025 class.

Clemson football’s 2025 recruiting class dropped from 11 players to 10 on Friday.

Trinity Christian Academy (Addison, Texas) three-star offensive lineman Jaylan Beckley took to social media Friday to announce his decommitment from Clemson. After committing on January 28th, Beckley no longer plans to join the Tigers.

“I am so thankful to Coach Swinney, Coach Riley, and the entire coaching and support staff at Clemson,” Beckley wrote in a social media post. “There are so many people that took the time to recruit me and made a sincere effort to build a relationship with me and my family. I met some incredible people at Clemson, including the other recruits, awesome Clemson fans, reporters & more – I truly wish them all the very best and I hope to maintain some of those relationships going forward.

“After much prayer, reflection, and countless discussions with my family and mentors, I’ve decided that I need more time to make this very big decision about where I will spend the next 3-5 years for my college career. The final decision was mine alone, and I do not take it lightly. I have nothing but love for Tiger Town. Thank you for all that continue to support me on this journey, I’m extremely blessed to have some incredible opportunities ahead. My recruitment is officially re-opened.”

The Tigers will look to continue to bolster their offensive line elsewhere in the 2025 class.

Clemson named among the hottest team’s recruiting in the 2025 class

Clemson’s 2025 class is shaping up excellently early in the recruiting cycle.

Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff are showcasing exceptional recruiting prowess for the 2025 class at Clemson. With 11 commitments already secured, the Tigers are assembling a formidable lineup of talent from across the nation. The caliber of players already committed to the program reflects Clemson’s unwavering commitment to excellence and signals a promising future for the team.

From top-tier prospects to promising newcomers, Clemson’s recruiting efforts underscore their enduring strength and determination for the seasons ahead. The Tigers’ ability to attract top talent speaks volumes about their status as a powerhouse in college football, setting the stage for continued success on the field.

According to 247Sports, the Tigers are one of the hottest teams recruiting in 2025.

When you look at this Clemson recruiting class, the strength is in the trenches on both sides of the ball. They landed three big, functional pass rushers. Offensively, Brayden Jacobs, Easton Ware and Jaylan Beckley are large, athletic offensive linemen. When a kid commits to Clemson, they normally don’t waiver and decommit. This feels like a top-10 class. This is an excellent start. It starts with those two new assistant coaches in Nick Eason and Matt Luke.

No doubt an excellent start, Clemson’s staff changes paying dividends in an area where the Tigers are desperate to succeed. If they aren’t going to be active in the transfer portal, they need to hit the recruiting trail.

While the Tigers’ 2024 class is strong, the 2025 class looks special.

Clemson’s 2025 Recruiting Class Soars in ESPN’s Rankings to No.2 in the Country

Clemson football’s 2025 recruiting class is one of the best in the country so far.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff are doing a phenomenal job recruiting in the 2025 class.

The Tigers currently have 11 commitments in the 2025 class, with some of the top players across the country already on board with this program and prepared for a future with the team. From top to bottom, Clemson is proving that they are going nowhere with how strong this class is building.

ESPN recently updated their 2025 recruiting rankings ($$$), with Clemson jumping from No.3 to No.2 in the country. It isn’t a huge jump, but there wasn’t much room to go up with this class soaring right now.

The Tigers have checked several boxes with commitments at different positions. They already have a pair of running backs in this class in Davidson and in-state prospect Marquise Henderson. Davidson has a nice blend of size, speed and power that he used to rush for 2,700 yards with 43 touchdowns this season. Henderson, at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, is more slightly built but is explosive with big-play speed and was very productive as a junior, rushing for over 2,300 yards.

Quarterback Blake Hebert missed most of his junior season with an injury, but he has good size and a smooth, compact delivery. He moves well and can extend plays. On defense, Clemson has already landed several ranked defensive linemen led by Watford, who gives the Tigers a lengthy player with good initial quickness who can develop into a disruptive edge rusher. In the trenches, defensive tackle Amare Adams is the top-ranked player in the state.

Clemson is trending up right now, and it is a beautiful thing to see for fans and the program. This coaching staff will look to continue to build on this strong start.

ESPN ranks Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class in the early Top 10

Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class is looking great so far.

For a program like Clemson football, recruiting is essential.

The Tigers rarely, if ever, dip into the transfer portal, and when they have recently, it hasn’t been for more than depth. In modern college football, if you’re not taking advantage of the portal, you need to be hitting on the recruiting trail.

Luckily for Clemson fans, that’s something this program does well. According to ESPN’s latest article ranking the Top 10 teams in the 2025 class ($), Clemson currently has the 6th best.

The Tigers have checked several boxes early on with commitments at several positions. They already have two RBs in this class in Davidson and in-state prospect Marquise Henderson. Davidson is a runner with a nice blend of size, speed and power and posted monster numbers this season, rushing for 2,700 yards with 43 TDs. Blake Hebert missed most of his junior season with an injury but when healthy he is a QB with good size and a smooth, compact delivery who also moves well and can extend plays. In the trenches, DT Amare Adams is the top-ranked player in South Carolina and OT Easton Ware is used to opening running lanes for his teammate Davidson is a candidate to join him in the JR 300 in the next update.

Clemson’s 2025 class is stacking up well so far, but there is a lot more to come.
