One thing that has impressed me with Mel Tucker’s staff is their ability to identify talented players before their competitors on the recruiting trail. One such player is Clayton Powell-Lee, a 2022 safety out of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Michigan State Football became the first Big Ten school to offer Powell-Lee on Tuesday.
Powell-Lee is a 6’2″ safety who has offers out from Coastal Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Georgia State, Liberty, and Kansas. His recruitment has picked up a lot of steam in the last month or so, so you can expect that this won’t be the last Big Ten offer he receives.
Thankful for my family, coaches, and teammates for helping me receive my First Big Ten Offer from Michigan State ⚪️🟢 @RivalsJohnson @ChadSimmons_ @247Sports @rivalsmike @Mansell247 @WestlakeFB1 pic.twitter.com/g4chOvne5N
