2025 4-star WR CJ Wiley has announced his commitment

Texas A&M misses out on another talented wide receiver prospect

Texas A&M’s 7th-ranked 2025 recruiting class is impressive on paper, as first-year head coach Mike Elko has landed 22 commitments in the cycle, led by 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet, who is talented enough to contend for the starting spot as soon as he steps on campus.

However, while 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson and 3-star WR Tristan Norman are talented receiver prospects, this season’s struggles in the passing game illustrate an issue concerning receiver depth and talent level that needs to be fixed, either in recruiting or through the transfer portal.

After A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU late last month, Elko and his staff landed four commitments in the 2026 cycle, all weekend visitors, while 2025 4-star wide receiver and former Florida State commit CJ Wiley also visited during the LSU game, as the Aggies made significant headway over the last couple of weeks.

However, Wiley, a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, has decided to stay home, committing to the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday night amid the speculation that the Aggies could reach the finish line.

While this isn’t a significant blow, it does mean that Elko and his staff will need to hit the transfer portal hard this offseason at the wide receiver position or flip another 2025 prospect.

According to 247Sports, Wiley is currently positioned as the 134th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 18th-ranked wide receiver, and the 19th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

Four-star WR CJ Wiley commits to Georgia

Four-star wide receiver recruit CJ Wiley commits to the Georgia Bulldogs

Kirby Smart and company gained a huge commitment from four-star CJ Wiley committed to Georgia football this evening. Wiley fills a huge recruiting need for the Bulldogs to help strengthen the future of the wide receiver position.

Wiley is a huge in-state target that this Georgia staff could not miss. Wiley has been on the Bulldogs’ radar since popping off his junior year accumulating 68 receptions, 1,473 yards, and 14 touchdowns.

Wiley was previously committed to Florida State since June but decommitted in October.

Wiley is ranked as the 80th recruit in nation while being the No. 12 receiver and the No. 10 prospect in Georgia, per On3.

With Wiley committing the tide has turned on Georgia getting elite talent at the receiver position. To go along with Talyn Taylor, Wiley offers a play style as a big body receiver is something that the Bulldogs’ receiver room has not seen much of since Lawrence Cager left.

If there’s one knock on recruiting for Georgia recently it is that ability to get elite talent at the receiver.

One thing that is an underrated skill that Wiley possess is his concentration  to bring in those contested catches and his speed. Wiley has been used in Milton High School’s offense as a deep threat and as the alpha receiver.

With Wiley’s commitment Georgia now moves into the top three in the 2025 ranks nationally overtaking LSU in the third spot.

Georgia’s biggest remaining recruiting need in the 2025 class

Georgia’s biggest remaining recruiting need is clear in the class of 2025 recruiting cycle

With early signing day less than a month away here are some of the top needs and remaining targets for Georgia football. Head coach Kirby Smart and company are still looking to add a few elite recruits to the class of 2025 recruiting cycle.

Donovan Starr

Donavan Starr is a four-star cornerback prospect that is committed to Auburn right now. Kirby Smart and UGA offered Starr last week and Starr has been interested in what the Bulldogs have for him.

A cornerback prospect is a huge need for the Bulldogs. Georgia only has one cornerback commitment after to Shamari Earls’ decommitment. Starr is 5-foot-11 and has great technical skills already with the ability to compete every rep. Starr would be a huge addition for this class to help shore up depth in the secondary for next year.

CJ Wiley

CJ Wiley is ranked as a four-star on On3.com. Wiley is an in-state blue-chip wide receiver prospect. A potential commitment from Wiley will complement the quick Georgia receiver commit Tayln Taylor, who is looked at by major recruiting sites as a difference-maker.

Wiley has always been on top of the Georgia’s list regardless of his former commitment to Florida State. Wiley is well on his way to another 1,000 yard season for Milton High School who is looking to repeat as 7A champions.

Wiley’s play style as a big body receiver is something that the Bulldogs receiver room has not seen much of since Lawrence Cager left. With a commitment from Wiley the future for the receiver position for the Bulldogs would be looking bright. Texas A&M is another team to watch in Wiley’s recruitment.

Justus Terry

Justus Terry is looked at as a five-star across all recruiting platforms. Terry has been on the Bulldogs radar since committing in 2023. Terry since then has decommitted from Georgia to USC to decommitting from USC.

He is one of two uncommitted five-stars left in this recruiting cycle, so he is a huge priority for Georgia. Terry could play alongside blue chip defensive line prospect Elijah Griffin if he commits back to the Bulldogs.

Terry’s commitment could bring back the flashes of the dominant defensive line in 2021 and 2022 season. Terry is disruptor from anywhere along the defensive line and has versatility that we have not seen since Jalen Carter. Terry creates havoc at high rate in opposing team’s backfield and has the capability to create a day one impact.

Texas A&M is now a finalist to land 2025 4-star WR out of Alpharetta (GA)

Texas A&M could potentially land one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2025 cycle

Texas A&M’s first season under head coach Mike Elko has been a rousing success. The Aggies are atop the SEC at 7-1 and 5-0 in SEC play, coming off their biggest win of the season over LSU. They outscored the Tigers 31-6 in the second half to win 38-23.

Hosting over 40-plus prospects in the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting class, one of Florida State’s recent 2025 decommits, 4-star wide receiver CJ Wiley, also attended the game and has now placed the Aggies in his top 5 program list, joining LSU, Colorado, Auburn, and Georgia.

While the Bulldogs will likely remain the favorite for the Georgia native, On3’s Steve Wiltfong recently noted that Texas A&M has already greatly impacted Wiley’s decision-making.

Current Aggies S&C coach Tommy Moffitt’s relationship’s relationship with Wiley’s father, former LSU DE Chuck Wiley, could also come into play.

Within the Aggies’ 2025 recruiting class, Elko and his staff have landed commitments from 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson and 3-star WR Tristan Norman.

According to 247Sports, Wiley is currently positioned as the 134th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 18th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 19th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

Texas A&M will travel to Columbia to face South Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 2nd, at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on either ABC or ESPN+.

Texas A&M is reportedly trending towards landing two elite 2025 propsects

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class could see two more commits in the coming weeks

Texas A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU will go down in Aggie history as one of greatest comebacks over the past decade-plus, as the Tiger’s 17-7 halftime lead evaporated after Aggies’ head coach Mike Elko made the switch at quarterback to dual-threat Marcel Reed, who jolted the offense to five consecutive scoring drives.

While the Aggies are focused on traveling to face South Carolina for a second consecutive primetime game, Elko and staff made significant strides on the recruiting trail, already landing three commitments in the 2026 class after Saturday’s win, while it has now been confirmed that the Aggies are trending towards landing two prospects in the 2025 cycle.

2025 4-star wide receiver CJ Wiley, alongside 2025 5-star Edge Javion Hilson, both attended Saturday’s game, experiencing everything the program had to offer while taking part in the blackout while watching the Aggies defeat a top 10-ranked team in front of over 108,000 fans in Kyle Field.

Just a day after visiting, Wiley announced his decommitment from Florida State, immediately spurring speculation that the Aggies are now the front-runner for the Georgia product.

On Tuesday, On3 Recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong revealed that Wiley and Hilson are now trending towards signing with Texas A&M. However, Georiga, LSU, and Colorado are also in the mix for Wiley.

Hilson, who has remained a favorite to land with the Texas Longhorns, will reportedly return to College Station for Texas A&M vs. Texas and, according to Wiltfong, feels the Aggies are the team to watch for him going forward.

2025 4-star WR and Texas A&M recruiting target has decommitted from Florida State

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class could be close to adding another top wide receiver commit

Texas A&M’s 38-23 Week 9 win over the LSU Tigers was one for the record books. After trailing 17-7 in the first half, head coach Mike Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman made the necessary defensive adjustments.

At the same time, backup quarterback Marcel Reed led the Aggies five consecutive scoring drives while running for three touchdowns.

However, Texas A&M’s wide receivers weren’t very involved in the offense due to a lack of production in the first half paired with success on the ground. Talent is needed at the position, and future help could be on the way as one of the top receivers in the 2025 recruiting class, 4-star CJ Wiley, has decommitted from Florida State.

After attending the game on Saturday night, this isn’t a coincidence, as Elko and his staff have been in contact with Wiley for the last couple of months, hoping to flip his commitment and add a third wide receiver prospect in the 2025 cycle.

According to 247Sports, Wiley is currently positioned as the 134th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 18th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 19th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

4-star WR recruit decommits from Florida State

Georgia football is looking to land Florida State’s most recent decommit, who is the No. 1 uncommitted receiver in the country

Four-star wide receiver recruit CJ Wiley has decommitted from the Florida State Seminoles. Wiley has continued looking at other schools despite his commitment to Florida State. The four-star checked out this week’s Texas A&M versus LSU Tigers game in College Station, Texas. Wiley also visited Georgia football for the Auburn game.

The four-star can’t be impressed with Florida State’s horrific 1-7 start to the season. Wiley had been committed to FSU since June 2024. His decision to decommit from the Seminoles is not a shocking one.

The 6-foot, 4-inch, 195-pound receiver is the No. 13 player at his position and the No. 11 prospect in Georgia, according to 247Sports. Wiley is ranked as the No. 84 recruit in the class of 2025.

CJ Wiley’s father, Chuck, played college football at LSU. Wiley is an elite  in-state recruit that plays high school football for Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Kirby Smart and Georgia are continuing to pursue Wiley, who is the nation’s top uncommitted wide receiver recruit.

The Milton High School star also runs track and has excellent speed. Wiley and Milton won the 7A state championship during the 2023 season. Class 7A is the highest classification in Georgia, which is among the most competitive high school football in the country.

2025 4-star WR and Florida State commit will attend Texas A&M vs. LSU

Add another key 2025 prospect to Texas A&M’s long visitors list for Saturday’s LSU matchup

Texas A&M’s critical Week 9 home matchup vs. 8th-ranked LSU also poses another opportunity to host recruiting prospects from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting classes inside what will be a blackout in a close-to-sold-out Kyle Field.

Needing to add at least one or two more wide receiver prospects to join 4-star Kelshaun Johnson and 3-star Tristan Norman in the cycle, Rival recruiting insider Landyn Rosow has gotten word that 2025 4-star WR CJ Wiley, who is currently committed to Florida State, will also make his way to College Station on Saturday night.

Standing at 6-4 and nearly 200 pounds, Wiley is coincidentally compared to current Texas A&M junior wide receiver Noah Thomas due to both players’ length and large catch radius while possessing the athleticism and downfield speed to produce explosive plays in the passing game.

While Florida State continues to struggle this season, it’s not surprising that current commits are at least looking at their options before signing day. Listed on 247Sports 2025 “Freaks list,” Wiley is coming off his best season during his 2023 junior campaign, recording 1,473 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns and a 21.7 yard per reception mark.

According to 247Sports, Wiley is currently positioned as the 134th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 18th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 19th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

Texas A&M will host LSU at home on Saturday, Oct. 26th, at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on ABC.

Georgia looking to flip 4-star FSU commit

Georgia football is looking to flip one of Florida State’s best commitments in the 2025 cycle

Four-star wide receiver recruit CJ Wiley has continued to show interest in the Georgia Bulldogs despite being committed to the Florida State Seminoles. Wiley recently visited the University of Georgia for the Auburn game.

The four-star can’t be impressed with Florida State’s disastrous 1-5 start to the season. Wiley has been committed to FSU since June 2024. His decision to commit to the Seminoles was a surprising one as many outlets projected him to commit to Georgia.

Kirby Smart and Georgia never give up until early signing day, so it is no surprise that the Bulldogs are still pursuing Wiley. Georgia has a strong pitch to prospect. The Bulldogs offer a significant amount of playing time to true freshman and are annual College Football Playoff contenders.

CJ Wiley’s father, Chuck, played college football at LSU. Wiley is an elite  in-state recruit that plays high school football for Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Wiley is ranked as the No. 110 recruit in the class of 2025. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 195-pound receiver is the No. 15 player at his position and the No. 13 prospect in Georgia, according to 247Sports.

The Milton High School star also runs track and has excellent speed. Wiley and Milton won the 7A state championship during the 2023 season. Class 7A is the highest classification in Georgia, which is among the most competitive high school football in the country.

LSU legacy CJ Wiley commits to Florida State over Tigers, Georgia in stunner

We thought it was a two-team race for CJ Wiley between LSU and Georgia, but it was FSU that ultimately closed with him.

While it looked like we were shaping up for a two-man race between LSU and Georgia for Tigers legacy and Milton, Georgia, receiver [autotag]CJ Wiley[/autotag], the four-star prospect threw everyone a curveball on Tuesday.

Wiley, the son of former LSU and NFL defensive end [autotag]Chuck Wiley[/autotag], committed to the Florida State Seminoles, the third team in his list of finalists. FSU was not considered to be in the mix as much as the Bulldogs or Tigers, and Wiley told Sports Illustrated’s Zack Nagy that he made his decision the day of his commitment and didn’t communicate it with Seminoles coaches ahead of time.

Wiley, the No. 136 player nationally and No. 15 receiver, had received multiple crystal ball projections in favor of Georgia before making his decision.
