Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to a big-time prospect in the 2026 class.

CJ Sadler of Detroit announced on Wednesday that he has received an offer from the Spartans. Sadler is a four-star athlete in the 2026 class.

Sadler ranks as the No. 5 athlete and No. 54 overall player in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the top player from Michigan in the class.

Sadler holds offers from more than 30 schools, according to 247Sports. Some of the other notable programs to offer Sadler includes Oregon, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Miami (FL), Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is working on recruiting the best receiver in the 2026 recruiting class. He and his recruiting staff took a trip to Detroit to check out a wide receiver that is ranked as the No. 1 receiver in the country by 247Sports.

[autotag]CJ Sadler[/autotag] is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound, five-star wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class. He is from Detroit where he plays for Cass Tech. The Cass Tech Technicians are off to a 3-2 start this season but they are on a three-game win streak.

There are no Crystal Ball projections for Sadler but Michigan is a 92% favorite to land him per On3.

Add another big-time recruit to the Spartans’ guest list for this upcoming weekend

Michigan State football will have a number of big-time recruits on campus this weekend, and that now will reportedly include 2026 standout athlete CJ Sadler.

Allen Trieu of 247Sports reported on Wednesday that Sadler will be visiting Michigan State this weekend for the Spartans’ matchup against Ohio State. Sadler is a freshman at Detroit Cass Tech and appears to be on his way to being a big-time prospect in the 2026 class.

Michigan State has already offered Sadler, with the Spartans extending him an offer as an 8th grader. He also has offers from Michigan, Kentucky, Louisville and Pitt.
